Robot Vacuum Cleaners Without a Dock in 2025: Top 5 Best
Hello to all readers of this project! This ranking will review the best robot vacuum cleaners without a self-cleaning station as of the end of 2025. This selection will likely still be relevant in early 2026, as all the most anticipated new dockless models have been released and tested. Models with a standard charging station are still popular. For some, their choice is justified by their more affordable price, others simply don't need the advanced features of a docking station, and some simply dislike the appearance of these bulky cabinets in their interiors. So, if you're among those choosing a dockless robot vacuum cleaner, here are the 5 best models of 2025. Let's get started!

The leader of our rating is the new product of 2025, a robot vacuum cleaner. 3i G10+.
Its price range is between $200 and $300. For this price, the robot is equipped with a highly accurate object recognition system with a backlight, remote home monitoring via smartphone, a retractable side brush for sweeping debris into corners, a main central brush with an anti-hair tangle system, a capacious dust collector with a dust compactor and disinfectant, and a wide range of features in the proprietary mobile app. Speaking of wet cleaning, it's also well-designed. The cleaning cloth holder rises when it enters carpets and extends to the edge for a thorough cleaning along walls and furniture.
In tests, the 3i G10+ demonstrated excellent object avoidance performance and high-quality dirt collection on a variety of surfaces. Its wet cleaning mode is basic, but it's suitable for gently wiping floors and picking up fine debris following the brushes. Overall, the 3i G10+ is smart, efficient, and functional.
Hobot LEGEE-D8
Specifications:
- Price: $300-$400
- Navigation: Lidar
- Li-Ion battery 4900 mAh
- Suction power 5000 Pa
- Dust collector 500 ml
- Water tank 320 ml
- Dimensions: 340*339*98 mm
Silver in this ranking goes to Hobot LEGEE-D8, the price of which is in the range of $300-400.
This model boasts a number of unique features compared to similar models. These include a D-shaped body that thoroughly sweeps debris into corners, the signature ECOpress, which increases the dust bin capacity up to five times, and an effective cleaning module, which is worth exploring in more detail. A suction port is located in front of the main turbo brush to pre-collect light debris and protect the central brush from tangling with hair and pet hair. Behind the turbo brush are water sprayers and a vibrating cloth that thoroughly cleans the floor, even capable of removing stubborn stains. Additionally, the cloth automatically lifts when entering carpets.
Additional features of the model include cleaning behind curtains, which most lidar robot vacuums cannot, and the ability to play creative voice commands recorded by the robot. In tests, the Hobot LEGEE-D8 demonstrated strong suction power and high-quality cleaning on a variety of surfaces. Importantly, you can also purchase a cloth washing station if needed.Trunk LuLu and significantly improve the quality of floor washing.
I'd also like to point out that in 2025, Hobot released another interesting new product without a dock—the Hobot LEGEE-Q10 robot vacuum cleaner. It's round and has a retractable side brush, but I haven't had a chance to test it yet. It's likely another interesting option when choosing a robot vacuum cleaner without a dock. I've included links to purchase both models in the video description.
Roborock S8 Pro
- Price: ≈$250
- Navigation: Lidar + object detection
- Li-Ion battery 5200 mAh
- Suction power 10,000 Pa
- Dust collector 500 ml
- Water tank 200 ml
- Dimensions 350*97 mm
The new Roborock S8 Pro rounds out the top three. Its price at the time of writing is approximately $250.
For this price, the robot vacuum cleaner features a lidar/object detection system, side and center brushes with anti-tangle protection, 10,000 Pa of suction, and a damp cleaning cloth that lifts up on carpets and vibrates to remove dirt. This particular model wasn't included in the review, but with extensive experience testing previous Roborock models, I'm confident this robot performs well and is worth the price. The brand is time-tested, their app works well, and the product has received numerous positive reviews.
Dreame D20 Pro
- Price: $250-$330
- Navigation: Lidar + object detection
- Li-Ion battery 5200 mAh
- Suction power 13,000 Pa
- Dust collector 700 ml
- Water tank 350 ml
- Dimensions 350*97 mm
Fourth place goes to a new one Dreame D20 Pro, the cost of which is in the range of $250-330.
The key feature of this model is its brushes, similar to those found on Dreame's flagship robots. These include a retractable side brush for sweeping debris out of corners and dual center brushes with anti-hair-tangle protection. Additionally, the robot boasts an object detection system, increased suction power (13,000 Pa), and a wet mopping function. Speaking of floor mopping, it's a simple affair—it's equipped with a standard holder and a cleaning cloth. It doesn't have a lift or edge reach, which is why it only placed fourth. However, the wet mopping feature does refresh the floor and collect fine dust behind the brushes.
In tests, the Dreame D20 Pro demonstrated high dry cleaning performance on various surfaces, so I would recommend this model primarily for dry cleaning.
But if you're interested in a Dreame robot vacuum cleaner without a station that focuses on wet cleaning, it's worth considering the new Dreame L40, which we also received for review.
It now features round, rotating pads with a carpet lift and scrolling action at the edge, as well as a similar navigation system. But the brushes are different: a standard side brush and a silicone center brush. The price is similar to the D20 Pro, so it's either/or, depending on what's more important—dry or wet cleaning.
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S20+
- Price: $230-$260
- Navigation: Lidar + object detection
- Li-Ion battery 5200 mAh
- Suction power 6000 Pa
- Dust collector 450 ml
- Water tank 290 ml
- Dimensions 350*97 mm
Well, and rounding out the TOP-5 robot vacuum cleaners without a station, in my opinion, is the best representative of the Xiaomi line in this category. Model Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S20+.
The robot costs around $230-$260. For that price, you'll get a model with lidar and an object detection system, standard brushes for collecting debris, but also two round rotating floor cleaning pads. The pads can automatically lift when they reach carpets. There's no baseboard reach or rotating motion.
In tests, the Xiaomi S20+ demonstrated a highly accurate obstacle avoidance system, as well as high-quality dry and wet cleaning on various surfaces. This robot is available globally, so everything is in Russian, including the app interface, so you don't have to worry about regional differences. It's also a good value for money option.
So, we've reviewed the best robot vacuum cleaners without a station as of the end of 2025. I hope you were able to find the best option for your needs and budget from these five models.
