The Best Robot Vacuum Cleaners with a Washable Cloth Function (without Self-Cleaning): Top 5 in 2024
Hello to all readers of this project! This rating will review the best robot vacuum cleaners with a cleaning station for cleaning cloths as of the end of 2024. This rating will likely remain relevant at the beginning of 2025, as all the major new models have already been released. The top 5 models include those without a self-cleaning dust bin. In some cases, this allowed for a more affordable price, in others, the station was more compact, which is important for many, and some models even offer an alternative to the traditional automatic dust bin emptying feature in robots. Most importantly, all 5 models boast high-quality wet cleaning, even a full floor wash. In all cases, the cleaning cloths are rinsed with clean water at the station during cleaning, allowing the robot to always clean large areas with clean cloths without human intervention. A brief overview of the characteristics and features will help you choose the best option for your needs and budget. So, let's go!
Hobot LEGEE-D8 + LuLu
- Price: $540-$600
- Navigation: Lidar.
- Li-Ion battery 4900 mAh.
- Suction power 5000 Pa.
- Dust collector 500 ml.
- Water tank 320 ml.
- Tanks in the station: 3.2 + 2.8 l.
- Robot dimensions: 340*339*98 mm.
- Station dimensions: 410*486*390 mm.
The leader of this rating is Hobot LEGEE-D8 with a self-cleaning station LuLu.
The robot vacuum cleaner competes successfully in the market and significantly outperforms similar products in its segment. This D-shaped robotic vacuum cleaner completely sweeps away debris from corners. It boasts 5000 Pa of suction power. The front chute collects hair and fur before it reaches the turbo brush. This prevents the turbo brush from getting tangled. Special features include a vibrating mop for removing dried-on dirt and stains; an intelligent water spray system that adjusts to the floor temperature; the proprietary ECOpress, which increases the dust bin capacity by 5 times and acts as a self-cleaning feature; and an automatic cleaning cloth lift function when entering carpets.
Furthermore, the robot stands out from its competitors with its ability to clean behind curtains and record creative voice commands. At the LuLu station, the Hobot LEGEE-D8 washes cloths and dries them with hot air. The robot's water tank also features automatic refilling. In tests, the Hobot LEGEE-D8 + LuLu performed excellently, both in terms of cleaning performance and capabilities. Hobot is a time-tested brand, and its robot is unique and effective, which is why it earned first place.
Dreame Bot W10 Pro
- Price: $650-$800.
- Navigation: Lidar and object recognition system.
- Battery: Li-Ion 6400 mAh
- Suction power: up to 4000 Pa
- Dust collector: 450 ml
- Volume of tanks in the station: 4 l + 4.5 l
- Robot dimensions: 334*314*106 mm
- Station dimensions: 375*400*430 mm
Silver medalist – Dreame Bot W10 ProThis isn't a new product either. The robot vacuum cleaner went on sale in 2023, and I still think it's a good option.
It has a unique body shape that allows it to better sweep debris into corners. A system of cameras and sensors is installed at the front to recognize objects on the floor and even enable remote home monitoring via smartphone. Dust collection is accomplished with a bristle-petal turbo brush. Behind it are two mops, which are currently at the peak of their popularity. At the station, the robot washes the cloths and dries them with hot air. Conveniently, the platform for the robot to enter the station is completely removable. In tests, the Dreame Bot W10 Pro demonstrated increased suction power and high-quality cleaning on various surfaces. Add to this the user-friendly app and the fact that the company is well-known and has extensive experience in robotic vacuum cleaners. So, even in 2024, the robot is still relevant if you're choosing a model with a cloth washing station and self-cleaning isn't as appealing. The only thing to keep in mind is that the cloths don't lift when driven onto carpets. Therefore, this model is better suited for cleaning hard floors.
Xiaomi Mijia H40
- Price: $400
- Navigation: Lidar and object detection system.
- Li-Ion battery 5200 mAh.
- Suction power up to 6000 Pa.
- Dust collector 700 ml.
- Water tank: none.
- Tanks in the station: 4 + 4 l.
- Robot dimensions: 350*104 mm.
- Station dimensions: 442*340*457 mm.
The top three is rounded out by a new product Xiaomi Mijia H40.
This robot vacuum cleaner features a fairly standard cleaning station. It features large water tanks, a drying function for the cleaning pads, and a removable drain tray. The robot itself is particularly interesting. It features an object detection system for precise floor maneuvers, a capacious dust bin, a turbo brush with blades that automatically clears hair and fur, and two round cleaning pads. These pads clean more thoroughly along baseboards thanks to the rotating action of the robot's body, automatically lift when entering carpeted areas, and are capable of cleaning even the toughest stains on floors.
In our tests, the Xiaomi MIjia H40 demonstrated high-quality cleaning on hard floors and low carpets. It surprised us with its strong suction power and left a good overall impression. It has some issues cleaning medium-pile carpets, so if you have those, you might want to consider other robots from the top 5. Overall, it's an excellent robot vacuum cleaner for the price.
Dreame L10 Prime
- Price: $400-$500
- Navigation: Lidar.
- Li-Ion battery 5200 mAh.
- Suction power up to 4000 Pa.
- Dust collector 450 ml.
- Water tank: none.
- Tanks in the station: 2.7 + 2.7 l.
- Robot dimensions: 350*104 mm.
- Station dimensions: 340*423*420 mm.
In fourth place is Dreame L10 Prime.
This particular robot wasn't included in the review. We had the older L10 series models, but the Prime version offers a more competitive price due to the removal of the self-cleaning feature, while retaining the cloth wash and dry function. Speaking of the robot, it features lidar, a silicone turbo brush, and two rotating cloths that lift when entering carpets. Cleaning performance, judging by online tests and experience testing similar models in the series, is good. If needed, you can purchase and install a blade brush, like the Mijia H40. The app is user-friendly and intuitive. Plus, it comes with a warranty from a proven brand. Overall, this is a good option for those looking for a robot vacuum cleaner with a budget of $400 or so. The price on this model is especially competitive during sales.
Xiaomi Mijia Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro
- Price: $350-$500
- Navigation: Lidar.
- Li-Ion battery 5200 mAh.
- Suction power up to 3000 Pa.
- Dust collector 450 ml.
- Water tank: none.
- Tanks in the station: 4 + 4 l.
- Robot dimensions: 343*332*106 mm.
- Station dimensions: 410*405*430 mm.
And finally, the ranking of robot vacuum cleaners with a station for washing napkins is closed by the oldest model, judging by the year of production. This is Xiaomi Mijia Self-Cleaning Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro, which appeared on the market in 2022.
This robot is currently hard to find for purchase. However, it's still available, and if you're interested, I've included a purchase link in the video description. It features a D-shaped body for sweeping out corners, high-quality dry and wet cleaning, and a cloth washing station with large tanks, even sterilizing dirty water in the tank with an ultraviolet lamp. Like similar robots, it features a hot-air dryer. The robot also stands out for its quiet operation and removable platform.
Overall, if you're on a budget and there's a good discount on this model, it's worth considering. However, be aware that the wipes don't lift, and finding consumables may be difficult as this model is no longer available.
So, we've reviewed the best robot vacuum cleaners with a cleaning station. Keep in mind that the top 5 models include models without a self-cleaning dust bin. For the same price, between $400 and $600, you can choose a fully featured all-in-one station.
