The new DreameBot L10s Pro Gen 2 robot vacuum cleaner is an updated version of the previously released Dreame Bot L10s ProThe new model features a more powerful motor, generating suction up to 7000 Pa. The dust collector and water tank have also been slightly redesigned. The floor detection system, two rotating pads, and the automatic pad lift feature for carpets remain. This feature set will set you back around $400. Below, I'll thoroughly test the new model, highlight its pros and cons, and then express my opinion on whether this robot vacuum is worth buying. I'd appreciate a subscription and a like after watching the video. So, let's get started!

Two holders with round cleaning cloths are installed behind the turbo brush. Unfortunately, the cleaning cloth's extension mechanism toward the baseboard, unlike on the flagship L and X-series models, is not implemented. However, at least the cleaning cloths automatically lift up 7 mm when entering carpets.

Testing

A detailed video review of the DreameBot L10s Pro Gen 2, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:

Navigation

And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, we'll test the Dreame Bot L10s Pro Gen 2's navigation in a room with obstacles. The robot vacuum first moves around the perimeter of the room, then cleans the entire accessible area in a serpentine pattern. The dryer's legs presented no problems. It also swept around the box and chair legs separately, then returned to the station. The test was successful.

Navigating an Obstacle Room

Speaking of navigation within the home, the robot vacuum similarly moves room by room along the perimeter, then in a serpentine pattern. There are no uncleaned areas left, and the cleaning speed is high, so this model has excellent navigation!

Definition of objects

The DreameBot L10s Pro Gen 2's object detection system is mediocre. It moved the scale, touched a simulated pet surprise, and chewed a sock and cord. As advertised in the promotional materials, the robot vacuum does indeed carefully avoid shoes and toys. However, it fails to detect small objects. While this system is a plus compared to similar robots without it, it's still not worth relying on.

Suction power

But the suction power was surprising. The robot vacuum cleaner was able to THOROUGHLY clean even a 10 mm gap. Visually, it seemed to clean the stand better than all the other robots in the review, and there were over 150 of them. So, in reality, this is a very powerful robot vacuum cleaner. Much more powerful than the previously released DreameBot L10s Pro, which only managed to suck up debris from 2 and 4 mm gaps.

Dry cleaning

The collection quality of various types of debris on laminate floors is good. Only a little debris remains in corners, where round robotic vacuums can't reach. It's also important to note that the central brush doesn't pick up any pet hair or fur. This is the main advantage of silicone brushes! All debris is collected in the dust bin.

Carpet cleaning

But the silicone turbo brush has its drawbacks. For example, it doesn't clean carpets as well, even with high suction power. While the robot can thoroughly clean low-pile carpets, medium-pile carpets can become stuck with debris that the DreameBot L10s Pro Gen 2 can't pick up.

Wet cleaning and carpets

When wet cleaning on carpeted floors, you can choose between two robot behaviors. The first is to automatically lift the pads when entering carpets, allowing the robot to simultaneously vacuum and mop, leaving the carpets dry and clean. The second option is to enable automatic carpet avoidance in wet cleaning mode. This is especially useful for high- and medium-pile carpets, preventing the pad from coming into contact with the carpet if necessary.

Wet cleaning

I'll focus on wet cleaning in detail, as there are some nuances. Round rotating pads are indeed more effective at removing dirt than regular pads fixed to the central brush. However, you can see that when dirt is present, these pads don't absorb the dirt, but rather leave some on the floor or create circular streaks, which isn't ideal. With a pad washing station, the robot could be run two or three times on a stand, and then, with an intermediate rinse, it would completely clean the floor without leaving streaks. However, the DreameBot L10s Pro Gen 2 doesn't have a station, so its effectiveness in such conditions is minimal.

Wiping off dirt

But under normal household conditions, the wet cleaning performance is truly superior to similar products. It doesn't leave streaks, the floor is thoroughly wetted when the water flow is set to maximum, and most importantly, the cleaning pad lift function. It lifts the pads not only on carpets, but also when the robot vacuum finishes a cleaning cycle or, conversely, when it's moving from the base to a designated cleaning spot. So, say the DreameBot L10s Pro Gen 2 has cleaned a room, but the pads are dirty. When it returns to the base, it will lift them, preventing the floor in other rooms from being soiled while returning to charge. Alternatively, when it leaves the base for a separate room to clean, it won't soil the pads or waste water until it reaches the designated cleaning spot. This, in my opinion, is a significant advantage compared to many similar products.

And, like most other robot vacuums, this one can't clean a narrow strip along the baseboard because the cleaning pads don't extend to the edges of the body. With this robot, the blind spot is about 4 cm wide.

Obstacle clearance

The robot vacuum easily navigates 2 cm high thresholds, lifting up the cleaning cloths as it goes. That's a plus!

Driving on black surfaces

It's also not afraid of black surfaces, easily driving on completely black carpet. This is another advantage of the robot!

Noise level

As for the noise level, it ranges from 56 to 69 dB. The noise level is quite standard for this model, considering its high suction power.

Personal opinion

The DreameBot L10s Pro Gen 2 robot vacuum cleaner has been thoroughly tested. our evaluation system he managed to gain 147 points, which is a good result for a robot without a station, that is, with a regular charging base.

Overall rating of robot vacuum cleaners: https://robovac.washerhouse.com/en/rejtingi/robovac-obshhij-rejting-robotov-pylesosov-robo.html.

I'll highlight the pros and cons of the updated L10s Pro, then express my own opinion. I liked the following:

  1. In reality, the suction power is very high.
  2. Automatic lifting of napkins when driving onto carpets.
  3. High-quality dry and wet cleaning on hard surfaces.
  4. Two rotating wipes wet the floor more thoroughly.
  5. The silicone brush is easier to clean from hair and fur.
  6. Complete Russification.
  7. A large number of functions for flexible adjustment of cleaning parameters.
  8. Good cross-country ability.
  9. The robot vacuum cleaner is not afraid of black floor coverings.
  10. A floor detection system. Although primitive, the robot cleans more accurately than its counterparts without a camera or sensors on the front bumper.
  11. Availability of warranty and service.

Here are some comments about the robot:

  1. Not compatible with self-cleaning and wipe washing station.
  2. Based on this: the price is high. $400 for a robot without a station is still a lot, at least considering the functionality implemented.
  3. Doesn't scrub the narrow area along the baseboard.
  4. Round cloths without a station and periodic washing during cleaning can leave circular streaks.
  5. The system for identifying objects requires improvement.

Ultimately, I can say that the DreameBot L10s Pro Gen 2 is a more powerful version of the DreameBot L10s Pro, with a larger water tank and, I hope, resolved the issues of the previous model. The issue is that the standard L10s Pro received many complaints about water supply and pad rotation issues appearing after a few months of use. The manufacturer likely fixed these issues and released an updated version, which also increased power. However, time will tell how much more reliable the Gen 2 is. If you're looking for a powerful robot vacuum cleaner without a dock, but with a pad lift function and a user-friendly app, this option is worth considering. The included wet mopping system is sufficient for cleaning small areas, or if you don't prioritize floor cleaning but want a robot that vacuums well and performs gentle wet cleaning. Plus, don't forget the silicone turbo brush, which is easier to clean from hair and is suitable for apartments and houses with pets. Overall, this model will definitely find its audience.

On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
