Dreame H11 CoreDreame H11 Core

The new Dreame H11 Core upright wet/dry vacuum cleaner is the most affordable floor cleaning model in the Dreame line. The average price is $200. For this price, the device features a roller positioned at the edge of the body, an informative display, two operating modes, and a charging and self-cleaning station. Below, I'll thoroughly test the Dreame H11 Core, highlight its pros and cons, and express my opinion on whether this upright wet/dry vacuum cleaner is worth buying. Let's get started!

Appearance

Now let's take a closer look at the Dreame H11 Core. It's finished in the brand's signature dark gray. Its design is standard: a roller-based cleaning module, two reservoirs, a display, and a handle housing the control buttons. Let's take a closer look at each component.

Let's start with the cleaning module. As I mentioned, the roller has been moved to one edge, to the right, which partially solves the problem of scrubbing dirt right up to the baseboard. Why partially? Because the roller doesn't extend directly to the edge of the unit; the roller lock is positioned even closer to the edge.

The roller itself is easily removed by pressing a button on the top. The protective cover can also be removed for easy cleaning and servicing of the cleaning module. Behind the roller is a toothed surface for removing debris from the roller during cleaning and self-cleaning, as well as a scraper and a suction hole.

Above the cleaning module is the dirty water tank. It holds 500 ml. It contains a HEPA filter with a mesh screen, as well as a sensor system for monitoring the water level. When the tank is full of dirty water, the Dreame H11 Core will notify you to empty it. There is still no coarse filter.

A 900 ml clean water tank is located above. On top of it is a hole with a sealed valve for filling with water. A coarse filter is installed inside.

The vacuum cleaner is controlled by buttons on the handle. These buttons turn the power on and off and switch between operating modes. There are two modes: Eco and Maximum.

The selected mode is displayed on a large, informative display. The suction mode without water supply has been removed. A button for activating the self-cleaning function on the base is also located on the top of the handle.

It's important to note that there's another mechanical button on the back, which switches the voice package language. The Dreame H11 Core supports voice notifications in several languages, including Russian.

As for the base, the vacuum cleaner only uses it for self-cleaning and charging. Unfortunately, there's no way to dry the roller.

Technical specifications

The main characteristics of the Dreame H11 Core, as stated by the manufacturer:

  • Battery: Li-Ion, 2500 mAh.
  • Power consumption: 170 W.
  • Suction power: up to 6000 Pa.
  • Operating time: up to 22 min.
  • Charging time: 5 h.
  • Clean water tank: 900 ml.
  • Dirty water tank: 500 ml.
  • Noise level: 72-75 dB.
  • Weight: 4.65 kg.

The battery capacity is smaller than that of the older models. It's the same as the Dreame H12 Core. Consequently, battery life has been reduced. Power output has also decreased, with levels in the 72-75 dB range.

Testing

A detailed video review of the Dreame H11 Core, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:

And finally, let's move on to the tests. The Dreame H11 Core performs well in everyday floor cleaning, both on wood and tile surfaces. It doesn't leave streaks and, when used correctly, won't damage delicate flooring.

Washing different types of floor coverings

This cordless vacuum cleaner can be used not only for cleaning floors but also for picking up liquids. And, as in my case, it even passed the now-traditional test of cleaning a broken raw egg.

The Dreame H11 Core can also be used to clean slightly dried-on dirt. As you can see, there are no marks or streaks left behind. The floor is perfectly clean.

Wiping off dirt

Since the roller doesn't extend right up to the edge of the body, a narrow strip of only about 6-8 mm remains. It's not ideal, but it's better than wet vacuum cleaners, where the roller isn't positioned right up to the edge of the body.

Blind spot

This vacuum cleaner even removed stubborn, dried-on coffee and sauce stains. As with similar vacuum cleaners, it took some time to remove the sauce stains. To be precise, it took 8 minutes to remove the stain. This is slightly better than most budget-to-mid-price vacuum cleaners, which typically remove similar stains in 10 minutes. Furthermore, no detergent was used, as the manufacturer doesn't include one.

Furthermore, this wet/dry vacuum cleaner can also be used for dust collection. It easily picks up various types of debris from the floor, leaving no blind spots along walls or in corners.

However, it's not practical to clean carpets with the Dreame H11 Core. The roller structure isn't ideal, there's no suction mode without water, and even on low-pile carpet, the roller gets stuck, causing the vacuum to go into error mode. This is important to keep in mind.

The final test is to check the self-cleaning performance after all the tests. In this regard, the Dreame H11 Core self-cleans on par with most similar products. It's not perfect, but acceptable. Some traces of sauce remain on the roller. However, the testing conditions were also quite challenging, admittedly.

In a domestic environment, after daily floor washing, self-cleaning does a better job, as the roller is not in such a bad condition.

Personal opinion

The Dreame H11 Core upright vacuum cleaner has been thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll share my thoughts on it.

I liked the following:

  1. Capable of effectively washing floors and removing dirt.
  2. The roller comes out to the edge of the body.
  3. Stylish design.
  4. Ergonomic design.
  5. Informative LED display on the body.
  6. Voice notifications in Russian.
  7. High quality assembly.
  8. Availability of warranty and service.
  9. Optimal price.

As for the disadvantages, there are the following comments about the vacuum cleaner:

  1. Weak battery and, as a result, short operating time.
  2. There is no drying of the roller on the base.
  3. There is no dry cleaning mode.
  4. There is no way to regulate the water supply level.
  5. Not suitable for cleaning carpets.
  6. It doesn't wash out a narrow strip along the baseboard, although it is smaller than most similar ones.
  7. There is no coarse filter in the dirty water tank.

I can say that some of the criticisms are typical for most upright wet/dry vacuum cleaners, and some are entirely justified, given the price, which has been reduced by at least 20% compared to higher-end models in the line. The Dreame H11 Core is a good option if you're willing to spend no more than $200 on a wet/dry vacuum cleaner, and it's important to find a high-quality and reliable product. In my opinion, it may even be more appealing than the older Dreame H12 Core, thanks to the roller extending closer to the edge of the unit. Therefore, if these criticisms aren't critical for you, I see no reason not to recommend this wet/dry vacuum cleaner. It performs its primary function well and is suitable for cleaning floors in small areas.

On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping. Bye!
