Redkey W13: An optimal wet/dry vacuum cleaner at a reasonable price

This review will examine the Redkey W13 cordless upright vacuum cleaner. Priced between $200 and $260, the manufacturer offers a floor-washing vacuum with a dry mopping function, a self-cleaning station, and a quick-drying roller. The device also boasts an informative display and large water tanks. Below, I'll thoroughly test the Redkey W13, highlight its pros and cons based on the test results, and then express my opinion on whether this cordless upright vacuum cleaner is worth buying. Let's get started!
Equipment
The vacuum cleaner arrived in a branded box like this:
The package includes:
- Base with removable accessory holders.
- Removable handle.
- Two spare rollers.
- Spare HEPA filter.
- Measuring cup.
- Vacuum cleaner cleaning brush.
- Operating instructions translated into Russian.
The kit is well-equipped. There are even spare consumables. That's a plus!
Appearance
Now let's take a look at the Redkey W13's design. It has a familiar design: a roller-based cleaning module, two reservoirs, a display, and a handle housing the control buttons. Let's examine each component in detail.
Let's start with the cleaning module. The roller is held in place by a side latch. The design is familiar—soft, short bristles, like other wet/dry vacuum cleaners. Interestingly, the roller is offset to the edge of the body on one side, reducing the blind spot between the roller's edge and baseboards or furniture.
The clean water tank is strategically positioned above the roller, integrated with the roller cap, which should reduce strain on your hand. The Jimmy HW9 Pro and HW10 Pro, which we previously reviewed, have a similar design. This tank holds up to 700 ml of water, which is filled through a hole with a sealed valve.
Water is supplied to the roller through eight nozzles. Residual water is collected from the floor by a scraper and directed into the suction port.
Above the cleaning module is a capacious 900 ml dirty water tank. It contains a filtration system using a HEPA filter and a foam filter. The water level is monitored by an electronic sensor. The tank also has a coarse filter. Overall, the filtration system is good.
It's important to note that the Redkey W13's battery is removable. This is very convenient.
The vacuum cleaner is controlled by buttons on the handle. These buttons turn the power on and off and select one of three operating modes: automatic, maximum, and dry cleaning. Also located on the top of the handle is a button for self-cleaning the vacuum cleaner's base and for turning on the roller drying function. To force the drying function, press and hold this button for three seconds.
All information is displayed on the display, around which we see a light indicator of the vacuum cleaner status.
I'd like to point out that the Redkey W13 is equipped with voice notifications, although they are in English, so they can be turned off using a button on the case if necessary.
Speaking of the base, the Redkey W13 charges, self-cleans, and dries the rollerball using it. Drying occurs by heating a metal plate. During forced drying, the rollerball rotates, coming into contact with the heated plate. In this mode, drying takes about 20 minutes, and, looking ahead, I can say that the drying is effective. The rollerball dries completely in 20 minutes. It's like an express dryer. Additionally, the rollerball can dry automatically, immediately after self-cleaning. This mode doesn't rotate, but even this type of drying is effective and does its job perfectly.
Overall, I have no major complaints about the vacuum cleaner's design. Most of the advanced features are implemented, and that's a plus!

The main characteristics of Redkey W13, as declared by the manufacturer:
- Battery: Li-Ion, 4200 mAh.
- Power: 200 W.

Testing
And finally, let's move on to the tests. A detailed video review with all the tests has already been published on the channel:
The Redkey W13 performs well for everyday floor cleaning, both on wood and tile. It leaves no streaks and, when used correctly, won't damage delicate flooring.
This cordless vacuum cleaner can be used not only for cleaning floors but also for picking up liquids. And, as in my case, it even passed the now-traditional test of cleaning a broken raw egg.
The Redkey W13 can also be used to clean slightly dried-on dirt from floors. As you can see, there are no marks or streaks left. The floor is perfectly clean.
Since the roller doesn't extend right up to the edge of the body, a narrow strip just 3 mm wide remains. The result is very good!
This vacuum cleaner even removed stubborn, dried-on coffee and sauce stains. As with similar vacuum cleaners, it took some time to remove the sauce stains. To be precise, it took 8 minutes to remove the stain. This is slightly better than most budget-to-mid-price vacuum cleaners, which typically remove similar stains in 10 minutes. Furthermore, no detergent was used, as the manufacturer doesn't include one.
Furthermore, this wet/dry vacuum cleaner can also be used for dry cleaning. It easily picks up various types of debris from the floor. However, there's a small blind spot in the corner where the roller can't reach. It's minimal, but it's there.
Considering this is a wet/dry vacuum, it's not practical for cleaning carpets. However, it's still possible in dry mode. Here's an example of picking up debris on a low-pile carpet and a fluffy carpet:
The roller's structure isn't capable of thoroughly cleaning carpet, and debris can clog the filtration system, which is what happened during testing, as the suction system doesn't work properly without water. Overall, I still recommend cleaning carpets with a regular upright vacuum cleaner, or entrusting this task to a robotic vacuum cleaner of a suitable design and power.
The final test is to check the self-cleaning performance after all the tests. In this regard, the Redkey W13 self-cleans on par with most similar products. It's not perfect, but acceptable. Some traces of sauce remain on the roller. However, the testing conditions were also quite challenging, admittedly.
In a domestic environment, after daily floor washing, self-cleaning does a better job, as the roller is not in such a bad condition.
As already mentioned, the dryer copes with its task effectively.
Personal opinion
The Redkey W13 upright vacuum cleaner has been thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll share my thoughts on it.
I liked the following:
- High-quality, streak-free floor cleaning on various surfaces.
- The roller is shifted to the edge of the body, which makes it easier to clean the floor along the baseboard.
- Removable battery with increased capacity.
- Good filtration system in the dirty water tank.
- Capable of removing difficult dirt and stains.
- Large capacity water tanks.
- A display that shows all the important information.
- Can also be used for dry cleaning.
- Effective drying of the roller on the base.
- A good set. Two spare rollers and an extra filter. You won't have to worry about consumables for a long time.
- Warranty and service availability. The brand has a certified service center that provides warranty and post-warranty service.
As for the downsides, I have only one criticism of this vacuum cleaner: it's not suitable for cleaning carpets, as are most similar products. Also, some owners may dislike the fact that the voice prompts are in English, but I don't think this is such a big deal, considering they can be turned off completely.
Ultimately, I see no reason not to recommend this wet/dry vacuum cleaner. It does its job well, and the price is reasonable compared to other brands.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
