Dadget W220: Slim robot window cleaner with two water sprayers

We're continuing our review of window cleaning robots, and in this review, we'll be covering the new 2024 model, the Dadget W220. This is the top-of-the-line model in the company's lineup. Priced between $120 and $140, the device features a slim, 7-centimeter body and dual cleaning spray. Sprayers are mounted on both sides of the body, allowing for automatic or manual wetting of surfaces in both directions. Below, I'll show you how the Dadget W220 performs its primary function, what other features it can offer, and then highlight the pros and cons based on test results and offer my personal opinion on the new robot. Let's get started!
Equipment
The window cleaning robot arrived in this branded box:
It contains:
- The robot itself with a secured safety cord and two holders with napkins.
- Power supply with 4-meter cord.
- Cable for connecting the power supply to the network.
- Remote control with batteries.
- Bottle for filling water into the robot.
- A spray nozzle on a bottle for spraying cleaning agent onto wipes.
- 5 spare sets of napkins, i.e. 10 pieces.
- Two spare napkin holders.
- Operating instructions in Russian.
The package is good. Let's move on!
Appearance
Now let's look at the design of the Gadget W220. It's oval-shaped, so the cleaning module consists of two round pads.
The body is 71.5 mm high. The robot is very slim. This is thanks to the comfortable, thick leather handle, which doesn't interfere with the robot's height.
In the area where the safety cord is attached there are two water sprayers, each on its own side.
Under the handle is a power connector with a secure threaded connection. On the other side, we see the on/off button and the robot's speaker. The wipes are of the familiar design. The holders are easily removed and reinstalled from the robot.
The water tank filler with a sealed valve is located at the bottom. The robot's status indicators are also located on the bottom.

Testing
A detailed video review of the Gadget W220, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:
Navigation and window cleaning quality
And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, we'll check how the Gadget W220 handles its primary task – cleaning windows from the outside. We'll also be able to evaluate its navigation. The robot's first pass over the windows collects all the dirt. It's recommended not to wet the wipes to reduce the risk of the robot smearing dirt across the glass. I also disabled the automatic water spray.
For the second pass, you can fill the robot with water, spray a little water or cleaning agent onto the wipes, and turn on the automatic liquid spray.
Let's compare the condition of the windows before and after:
Here I will just note that the weak point of all window cleaning robots without exception, including this one, is that corners remain unwashed due to the design features of the cleaning module.
Otherwise, the window cleaning quality is on par with similar products. It also navigates narrow windows without a problem! No complaints about the navigation!
Application on other surfaces
This robot can also be used to clean tiled walls, shower stalls, and mirrors. It's even worth noting that the Dadget W220 can gently roll away from the edges of frameless surfaces without losing traction. This is a plus! However, the manufacturer does not recommend using this model on frameless surfaces.
But for those interested, this window cleaning robot can't function on horizontal surfaces. The movement algorithm is incorrect. In fact, in my case, it even went over the edge of the surface, lost traction, and crashed.
Emergency mode
Let me explain how the Dadget W220 operates in emergency mode. When unplugged, the robot starts beeping and a red indicator light flashes on both sides of the robot. Here's how it works:
A light indicator and a beeping sound will allow you to promptly detect the problem and remove the robot from the window.
Let's sum it up
The Dadget W220 window cleaning robot was thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll summarize and share my personal opinion of the robot after using it. Here's what I liked:
- Good quality window cleaning.
- Double spray of cleaning liquid onto the surface.
- The thin body allows the robot to be used on windows with bars.
- Good navigation.
- Working on narrow windows.
- The robot's versatility. It's suitable for cleaning not only windows, but also glass doors, mirrors, and wall tiles.
- Good equipment.
- Affordable price.
- Warranty and service availability. It's worth noting that Dadget window cleaning robots come with a full 3-year warranty!
As for the shortcomings, the following were found:
- It doesn't wash into the corners.
- Does not work on horizontal surfaces.
In conclusion, I can say that the Dadget W220 is a successful continuation of the Dadget line of window cleaning robots. If you have looked at the previously released comparative test these robots on my channel, there I indicated that, according to the testing results, the one that showed the best results Gadget W200The new model features an improved cleaning fluid delivery system and a more compact size, so I can say that, in my opinion, it's currently the best model in the Dadget line. Considering the price isn't much different from the less expensive models, this robot is definitely recommended.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
