Dreame Bot D10s Plus: Self-cleaning, High Power, Object Recognition

The Dreame Bot D10s Plus robot vacuum cleaner, a new 2023 product priced at approximately $400-430, or $500-530 at the exchange rate at the time of writing, boasts several effective features. These include a self-cleaning station, a camera for recognizing objects on the floor, remote home monitoring via the camera, increased suction power of 5000 Pa, and the ability to not only vacuum but also mop the floor. Furthermore, the robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with a silicone turbo brush, making it easier to remove hair and pet hair. Overall, at first glance, this model definitely deserves attention. Below, I'll thoroughly test the Dreame Bot D10s Plus and then express my opinion on whether it's worth the money and what pros and cons I've identified. So, let's get started!
Equipment
The robot vacuum cleaner arrived in a branded box like this:
The package includes:
- Power adapter.
- Spare bag for the station.
- Wet cleaning nozzle with a cloth installed.
- Operating instructions.
Standard equipment.
Appearance
Now let's take a look at the Dreame Bot D10s Plus's design. Visually, it's very similar to its predecessor. Dreame Bot Z10 ProEven the color is the same: graphite. The robot itself is round. Its height is 97 mm from the floor.
This model lacks a wall sensor. A camera is installed in the center to detect objects on the floor and remotely monitor the home. The technology is called AI Action. A similar camera is also installed. Dreame Bot D10s Pro, L10s Ultra And W10 Pro, which were previously reviewed. There are no 3D sensors on the sides of the camera.
Navigation is handled by a lidar sensor, which has a spring-loaded cover. Mechanical control buttons are located on the top of the housing.
The dust container is located under the top cover. A cleaning tool is conveniently stored nearby, as well as a sticker with a QR code for quickly connecting the robot to a Wi-Fi network.
The container and HEPA filter are washable with water. The bottom of the station's dust container has self-cleaning shutters. The robot also has waste disposal openings on the bottom. The dual filtration system uses a HEPA filter and a mesh filter. The container holds up to 400 ml of dry waste.
A wet cleaning attachment like this one is attached to the bottom of the robot. The tank is equipped with a pump for electronically controlling the water flow. The tank capacity is only 140 ml. The cleaning cloth is attached using Velcro and pockets. The traditional groove has been removed.
The robot has four fall protection sensors on the bottom, but surprisingly, there's no carpet sensor. It has a single, three-beam, quick-release side brush. The central brush unit is floating, which is a plus. The turbo brush itself is silicone and can be removed on both sides to remove tangled hair and pet hair, which is very convenient.
As for the station, the Dreame Bot D10s Plus only has self-cleaning functionality. The robot's drive-in platform is equipped with openings for emptying waste from the dust bin into a bag on the station. The so-called garbage chute can be removed from below if something gets stuck. Very convenient.
The dust bag is located under the top cover. It's a standard size, with a capacity of 4 liters. Its capacity is sufficient for approximately two months of active use of the robot vacuum.
Overall, the robot vacuum cleaner is well-designed. We just notice that some sensors have been omitted, presumably to reduce the cost.
Technical specifications
The main characteristics of the Dreame Bot D10s Plus, as stated by the manufacturer:
- Li-Ion battery 5200 mAh.
- Suction power up to 5000 Pa.
- Operating time up to 280 min.
- Cleaning area up to 250 sq.m.
- Dust collector capacity is 400 ml.
- Water tank capacity is 140 ml.
- Obstacle clearance up to 20 mm.
- Dimensions: 350*97 mm.
- Weight: 3.7 kg.
The only differences between the Dreame Bot D10s and Dreame Bot D10s Pro models are the smaller dust bin and water tank. The former isn't critical, as it features self-cleaning, but the water tank is indeed small. Don't expect high-quality wet cleaning over large areas. Otherwise, the specifications are quite standard for this price segment. The only interesting feature is the increased suction power, which will be confirmed in testing.
Functional capabilities
Speaking of features, the Dreame Bot D10s Plus is controlled via the Dreamehome app. I was able to connect on the second try; for some reason, an error occurred the first time. Regardless, connection is simple. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, which are in Russian.
The main functions of the robot vacuum cleaner are displayed on the screen:
- Self-cleaning.
- Saving multiple cleaning maps in memory.
- Recognizing objects on the floor.
- Remote connection to a home surveillance camera.
- Automatic zoning of premises into rooms.
- Selecting areas and rooms for cleaning.
- Virtual walls and no-go zones (and for wet cleaning mode).
- Suction power adjustment.
- Adjusting the water supply level.
- User mode.
- Cleaning log.
- Setting up cleaning according to a schedule.
- Voice notifications in Russian.
- Automatic power increase on carpet.
- Yandex.Alice support.
The only feature that's worth highlighting is the remote home monitoring feature. The image is transmitted in high quality, allowing you to select the robot's movement points, control it manually, take photos, and even record video. You can also set up a so-called guard mode, which allows the robot to enter specific rooms and take photos from all angles. You can even use the robot to broadcast audio, akin to video conferencing. Overall, it's a useful solution that expands the capabilities and scope of your robot vacuum cleaner.
Testing
A detailed video review of the Dreame Bot D10s Plus, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:
Navigation
And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, we'll test the Dreame Bot D10s Plus's navigation in a room with obstacles. The robot vacuum first moves around the perimeter of the room, then cleans the entire accessible area in a serpentine pattern. The dryer's legs presented no particular problems. It also swept around the box and chair legs separately, then returned to the station. The test was successful.
Speaking of navigation within the home, the Dreame Bot D10s Plus cleans room by room, first along the perimeter, then in a serpentine pattern. There are no uncleaned areas, the cleaning speed is high, and this model has excellent navigation!
Object recognition
The object recognition function was tested separately. In good lighting, the Dreame Bot D10s Plus correctly identified four out of six objects, displaying them with corresponding icons on the map. It only failed to identify a toy and a dummy pet surprise that it ran over. The robot also had a hard time recognizing a black sock and chewed it with its brush, but it didn't get stuck and was able to free itself from the trap. We see that artificial intelligence is at work, and the robot understands what exactly is lying on the floor. The object recognition system works well, but it's not perfect. In any case, it's better than most similar robots, and it's likely that the algorithm will be refined soon, expanding the object database.
But in complete darkness, the object recognition system goes blind, since there is no backlight, like the flagship Dreame Bot X10 Pro, or at least 3D sensors on the sides, whose effectiveness is not affected by the level of lighting in the room. This is important to consider.
Suction power
In terms of suction power, the Dreame Bot D10s Plus impressed. It was able to suck up debris from crevices up to 10 mm deep. This is a very good result. Compared to the smaller model, for example. Dreame Bot D10s The Dreame Bot D10s Plus showed a result of 6 mm. So, the Dreame Bot D10s Plus is definitely a powerful robot vacuum cleaner.
Dry cleaning
The collection of various types of debris on laminate floors is good. Only a small amount of debris remains in the corners, where round robotic vacuums can't reach. We can see that the brushes are clean after cleaning, despite the large amount of hair on the stand. This is the main advantage of the silicone brush: it practically doesn't pick up pet hair. All debris is collected in the dust bin. The test was passed successfully!
Carpet cleaning
Speaking of carpet cleaning, the silicone brush is less effective on medium-pile carpets than a regular bristle brush. However, after the test, the carpet was clean, with only a few clumps of hair stuck in the pile. I think the robot vacuum did a good job!
Self-cleaning
The self-cleaning function was tested separately. We tested the robot vacuum in a room with a large amount of debris, which it carefully collected. We saw that the dust bin was almost full. We started the self-cleaning function and saw that the debris had completely emptied into the bag. This model's self-cleaning feature is well implemented!
Wet cleaning
The Dreame Bot D10s Plus handled light dirt and grime removal, leaving only a narrow, unwashed area along the baseboard, a weak point of all the robots reviewed.
It's also worth noting that the Dreame Bot D10s Plus can vacuum and mop simultaneously, which is a plus. However, the mop doesn't press very firmly to the floor and the water flow isn't particularly generous, making this robot more suited to gentle, wet cleaning.
Wet cleaning and carpets
Regarding wet cleaning on carpets, the Dreame Bot D10s Plus does not detect carpets and therefore does not automatically avoid them when the cleaning cloth is attached. It's worth noting that the suction power increases when the cleaning cloth is attached. In any case, you can protect carpets from getting wet by setting no-go zones for wet cleaning.
Obstacle clearance
The robot vacuum cleaner easily navigates 2 cm high thresholds. That's a plus!
Driving on black surfaces
However, the robot vacuum cleaner is sensitive to black carpets due to their height differences. This is not ideal and is important to consider when choosing a model. However, it's important to note that this issue only occurs with black carpets. The robot is not sensitive to black hard surfaces.
Noise level
As for the noise level, it ranges from 56 to 68 dB, depending on the power level selected. I can say that this is a truly quiet robot vacuum cleaner and still quite powerful.
Personal opinion
Dreame Bot D10s Plus has been thoroughly reviewed and tested. our evaluation system he managed to gain 148 pointsThe result is good, considering the price. For comparison, the main competitor Roborock Q7 Max+ scored 135 points with a very similar design and the presence of a self-cleaning station.
Overall rating of tested robot vacuum cleaners: https://robovac.washerhouse.com/en/rejtingi/robovac-obshhij-rejting-robotov-pylesosov-robo.html.
First, I'll highlight the pros and cons of the Dreame Bot D10s Plus, then I'll share my personal opinion. I liked the following:
- Self-cleaning at the station, which turned out to be very effective.
- Object recognition system that works correctly in good lighting conditions.
- Remote home monitoring function via robot camera.
- High suction power.
- The updated brush removes hair and fur better.
- The robot vacuum cleaner is capable of vacuuming and mopping the floor at the same time.
- High-quality dry and wet cleaning.
- Control via your own Dreamehome app.
- A large number of functions for flexible adjustment of cleaning parameters.
- Low noise level.
- Good cross-country ability.
- Yandex.Alice support.
- Complete Russification.
- A full warranty and service are available when purchasing from distributors in the Russian Federation.
Speaking about the shortcomings, I had the following comments about the robot:
- The robot vacuum cleaner is afraid of black carpets.
- There is no wall sensor or carpet sensor.
- Small volume of water tank.
- The object recognition system goes blind in the dark.
Overall, I think this is one of the best self-cleaning robot vacuums of 2023. If wet cleaning isn't as important to you, but you'd still like a robot that can automatically clean and mop the floor while picking up debris, I highly recommend considering this model. Especially during sales, when the price drops below $400. For the price, it doesn't have many competitors, and its functionality clearly outperforms them all.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping. Bye!

Which is better, the Dreame Bot D10s Plus or the Roborock Q7 Max? I need a reliable device. My apartment has three floors, one carpet, and two cats. At least some damp mopping is also important.
Hello! Could you please recommend a robot vacuum cleaner that washes and dries itself, doesn't require replaceable dust bags, and can be controlled by Alice? (No carpets, laminate flooring, 80 sq m single level, cat and dog). I'm interested in more budget-friendly options. 🙏
Does the dust mite support control via Siri?
Hello.
I'm faced with the choice of buying a new robot. The area is 40 square meters, without carpets, and the main polluters are two cats.
Since I'm often on the road, I'd like the robot to have a camera like the Dreame Bot D10s Plus or Roborock S7 MaxV for remote monitoring.
I would also like some kind of wet cleaning, simultaneously with dry cleaning.
Ideally, I'd like to keep the budget under $400-500. A remote surveillance camera is a must, and if it has a docking station with water, it'll be absolutely fantastic.
I have selected one for myself
1) Dreame Bot D10s Plus - a docking station without water, but with cleaning + camera
2) Roborock S7 MaxV – bare bones but with a camera, currently available on Ozon for 47,000 rubles. You can also purchase a cleaning station if needed.
3) Roborock Q7 Max+, it will add water and clean itself, but it doesn’t have a camera.
Help!!!! =)
The Roborock S7 MaxV is a good option for the price.
