Dreame Bot X10 Pro: Improved Station, More Accurate Object Recognition System, New Features

The Dreame Bot X10 Pro is a new product for 2023. Initially, when announced, the model was called the Dreame Bot X10 Ultra, but was later changed to Pro. However, it is essentially the same robot, and even the stickers on the body match the original name. But that's not the point. What matters is the new robot vacuum cleaner. The flagship model is equipped with a powerful motor, an object recognition system that works effectively even in complete darkness, a wiper lift function when driving onto carpets, a fully charged charging station, and several unique features that are truly captivating. The price of the robot is $700-850, or $900-1100 at the exchange rate at the time of writing. And that's impressive, considering its advanced features. So, I thoroughly tested the Dreame Bot X10 Pro, discussed all the model's features, highlighted the pros and cons based on my test results, and then expressed my opinion on whether this robot vacuum is worth buying. Let's get to the review!
Equipment
The robot arrived in this huge branded box:
In addition to the robot and station itself, the delivery kit includes:
- Two napkin holders.
- A tank with a branded cleaning agent for installation in the station.
- Cord for connecting the base to the network.
- Adapter from Chinese plug to European socket.
- The operating instructions are in Chinese, as this version of the robot is intended for the Chinese market.
The kit is standard. However, I'd like to add that the station stores a spare trash bag, and you can optionally purchase this module for connecting to the sewer and water supply:
Its price is around $180. The kit includes:
- Clean water tank.
- Dirty water tank.
- Platform for connecting tanks to the station.
- A magnetic control unit through which water flows from the water supply to the station.
- Plastic pipes for connecting the station to the water supply and sewerage system.
- A perforated hose in which you can hide the tubes from the station.
- A device for pulling tubes through a perforated hose.
- Angle adapters for connecting tubes to the station.
- Straight through branch from 1/2 inch to plastic 1/4 with ball valve.
- Plastic pipe fittings.
- Angled and straight connectors of the John Guest type.
- Tube holder with self-adhesive pad.
- Retaining rings for connectors.
- Instructions for connecting the module in Chinese.
By the way, the seller I ordered the robot and module from promised to post instructions on how to connect the module, translated into Russian, on their website. Without experience and instructions, problems could arise.
Appearance
Let's take a closer look at the Dreame Bot X10 Pro. It's gray with hints of bronze, I think. It looks very stylish. The body is round and about 103 mm tall.
A wall sensor is mounted on the right bumper. An active camera is located in the front for recognizing objects on the floor and remotely monitoring the home. 3D sensors and LED lighting are located on either side of the camera, allowing the robot to accurately recognize objects in complete darkness.
The backlight turns on automatically. Here's how it works:
The control panel has three mechanical buttons. Navigation is handled by a lidar sensor, which has a spring-loaded cover.
The top cover is completely removable and held in place by magnets. Underneath is a 350 ml dust container. The filtration system consists of a mesh filter and a HEPA filter. The dust container and filter are washable with water. The water tank is hidden inside the robot and is automatically filled at the station. The capacity of the tank is 80 ml.
There are four fall protection sensors, plus a carpet sensor. The side brush is quick-release, and the center brush unit is floating.
The turbo brush has bristles and petals, and can be removed on both sides to remove hair and pet hair. A silicone turbo brush is available for purchase if needed.
List of robot models from which you can get this brush:
- Dreame Bot L10s Ultra
- Dreame Bot L10 Ultra
- Dreame Bot L10s Pro
- Dreame Bot D10s
- Dreame Bot D10s Pro
- Dreame Bot D10s Plus
Be sure to order a lid along with the brush. It should have rounded corners, like the one on the Dreame Bot L10s Ultra.
The robot comes with napkin holders. The holders are equipped with magnets, and the napkins are held in place with Velcro. It's worth noting that the Dreame Bot X10 Pro can automatically pick up the napkins when it enters carpeted areas. This is a plus.
Speaking of the robot itself, the only significant update is the object detection system—a backlight has been added. Returning to the bristle-petal brush is still the right decision, as experience has shown that it cleans carpets better, even if it's more difficult to clean.
The station has seen far more changes. It's now much larger. Here's a comparison with the Dreame Bot L10s Ultra, which was the flagship of 2022:
The main reason for the increased size is the increased capacity of the water tanks. This is another smart decision. The dirty water tank has been increased to 4 liters, and the clean water tank to 4.5 liters. A silver-based disinfection module is installed inside the clean water tank. This is a plus. The cleaning tool and detergent cartridge are conveniently stored under the lid between the tanks. The capacity of the latter has been increased to 450 ml.
The capacity of the waste bag, located under the lid in the front, has also been increased. It holds up to 3.2 liters of dry waste. A spare bag is conveniently stored nearby.
The wipe rinsing platform is also worth mentioning. The tray is removable and easy to clean to remove any remaining dirt and debris.
The station itself is equipped with magnetized pins. These allow the Dreame Bot X10 Pro to detach the cleaning cloth holders from the station when needed. This allows the robot to leave the station for dry cleaning only, without the cleaning cloths, completely eliminating any contact between wet cleaning cloths and the carpet. A unique and highly effective solution.
Additionally, the station is equipped with fittings for connecting to the sewer and water supply. They are hidden behind a cover. I'll explain how to connect the robot to the sewer and water supply later in this review.
Ultimately, we see that a number of improvements have been made that have increased the robot's efficiency and autonomy. There's still room for improvement, but nonetheless, the upgrade is more significant than the transition from Roborock S7 MaxV To Roborock S8, In my opinion.
Technical specifications
The Dreame Bot X10 Pro's key specifications, as stated by the manufacturer, are summarized below. The changes in each parameter are indicated in parentheses, compared to last year's flagship Dreame Bot L10s Ultra.
Robot vacuum cleaner:
- Li-Ion battery 5200 mAh.
- Suction power up to 6000 Pa (+700 Pa).
- Operating time up to 210 min.

- Bag in the station: 3.2 l (+0.2 l).
- Dimensions: 426*499*607 mm (+3 mm, +159 mm, +39 mm).
Of the specifications, the only important thing to highlight is the claimed high suction power, which will be verified in tests. The remaining parameters are comparable to similar devices.
For those interested, the height of the station with the lid raised is 87.5 cm.
Functional capabilities
Let's move on to an overview of the Dreame Bot X10 Pro's features. The robot vacuum cleaner can be controlled via both Mi Home and the proprietary Dreamehome app. Since the robot is a Chinese version, you need to select the China region in both cases. As many of you are probably aware, Dreame has increased the security of its devices and implemented a region lock. As a result, all Chinese versions of its robots, including the Dreame Bot X10 Pro, are blocked outside of China. They will connect to the network without any problems, but if you try to access the settings menu, the following message immediately appears:
The seller, whose link I left at the end of the review, sorted out this problem. How to resolve regional blocking, I described it in detail in an article on the website: https://robovac.washerhouse.com/en/o-robotah/robovac-dreame-obhod-blokirovki.htmlI also posted instructions for setting up Russian voice notifications.
I can say that while it's not entirely convenient, the robot can still be used without complicated workarounds on both Android and iOS. It even supports remote camera tracking.
Key features of Dreame Bot X10 Pro:
- Self-cleaning.
- Rinsing napkins at the station.
- Drying napkins with hot air.
- Automatic addition of detergent.
- Lifting napkins on the carpet.
- Recognizing objects on the floor.
- Camera illumination in low light conditions.
- Remote home monitoring via smartphone.
- Saving multiple cleaning maps in memory.
- 3D map of the room.
- Automatic zoning of premises into rooms.
- Selecting areas and rooms for cleaning.
- Virtual walls and no-go zones (and for wet cleaning mode).
- Suction power adjustment.
- Setting the frequency of rinsing wipes (by area, by zones).
- User mode.
- Cleaning log.
- Setting up cleaning according to a schedule.
- Automatic power increase on carpet.
- Carpet cleaning in wet cleaning mode.
- Automatic removal of napkin holders at the station.
- Proprietary built-in voice assistant.
- Yandex.Alice support.
There are numerous options for customizing cleaning parameters. It's worth noting that the proprietary voice assistant only understands commands in Chinese, unfortunately. Otherwise, it's a very interesting solution. I hope we'll be able to test this feature in the global version of the robot.
Testing
A detailed video review of the Dreame Bot X10 Pro, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:
Navigation
And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, we'll test the Dreame Bot X10 Pro's navigation in a room with obstacles. The robot vacuum first moves around the perimeter of the room, then cleans the entire accessible area in a serpentine pattern. It detected the legs of the dryer and carefully navigated around them. It also swept around the box and chair legs separately, before returning to the station. The test was successful.
Speaking of navigation within the house, the robot vacuum cleaner cleans room by room, following the perimeter, then in a serpentine pattern. Every 15 square meters, as I determined, it returns to the station and rinses the cloths, then resumes cleaning from where it left off. There are no uncleaned areas left; this model has excellent navigation!
Recognizing objects on the floor
The floor object recognition system is excellent. The robot vacuum cleaner correctly recognized seven out of seven objects, marking them with corresponding icons on the map. A stuffed animal was even identified as a pet. But most importantly, the Dreame Bot X10 Pro avoids wires, socks, and, most importantly for many, pet feces. Furthermore, the robot vacuum cleaner takes photos of all recognized objects.
Even in complete darkness, the Dreame Bot X10 Pro accurately recognizes objects. It only struggled with the pet surprise imitation. But that's probably just a coincidence. In any case, its object recognition system is well-implemented. One of the best on the market.
Suction power
The suction power was a pleasant surprise. The Dreame Bot X10 Pro was able to suck up debris even from a 10mm gap. This is definitely a very powerful robot vacuum.
Dry cleaning
The quality of the collection of various types of debris on laminate floors is good. Only a little debris remains in the corners, where round robot vacuums can't sweep. You can also see that some debris remains near the corner. This is because the collision protection mode is enabled. If you disable it, the robot moves completely into the corner, eliminating this blind spot. A little hair and fur is caught on the center brush, but all the debris is collected in the dust bin.
Carpet cleaning
The Dreame Bot X10 Pro does a good job of cleaning carpets. The cleaning quality on carpets is very high, thanks to its high power, floating turbo brush module, and bristle-petal brush.
Wet cleaning and carpets
When it comes to wet cleaning on carpets, you can choose from three different robot behaviors. The first is to automatically lift the cleaning pads when entering carpets, allowing the Dreame Bot X10 Pro to simultaneously vacuum and mop, leaving the carpets dry and clean. The second option is to enable automatic carpet avoidance in wet cleaning mode. Finally, the third mode is unique. The robot vacuum cleaner first performs dry and wet cleaning on hard floors, then enters the base, automatically releases the cleaning pads, and returns to the cleaning process, having vacuumed the carpets without the cleaning pads.
This is especially useful for high- and medium-pile carpets, as it completely eliminates any contact between the cloth and the carpet if necessary. The idea is truly brilliant. Not only does it completely eliminate contact between wet cloths and the carpet, but it's also a more reliable solution than simply lifting the cloth on carpets. The so-called "lift" can wear out faster if used frequently.
Wiping off dirt
This robot vacuum cleaner handles dirt removal with an intermediate stop at the cleaning station to rinse the cleaning cloths. This is the main advantage of such robots. Dirt won't be ground into the floor during the entire cleaning process. Consequently, in just a few passes, the robot can actually clean the floor, not just mop it. As with most other robots, a narrow section of the floor along the baseboard was left unwashed because the cleaning cloths don't extend to the edges.
Removing difficult stains
However, the Dreame Bot X10 Pro failed to remove tough stains. It was able to remove coffee stains, but difficult dried-on sauce stains proved beyond its capabilities. Its cleaning performance was inferior to similar devices like Hobot LEGEE-D8 and the Roborock S8. However, for a home environment, I believe the wet cleaning feature is more than sufficient.
Rinsing quality of wipes
Now, I'd like to test the effectiveness of the station itself. Let's start with the rinsing quality of the wipes. In everyday life, after cleaning the floor of dirt, the wipes are in a terrible state. And after rinsing, I can say they are actually clean. A minimal amount of dirt is removed under the pressure of warm water. That's a plus!
Cleaning the station itself is easy. Just remove the wipe tray and the robot entry ramp. Rinse with water in the sink and return it. The station is clean!
Automatic water refilling and draining
I'll show you how the utility connection module works separately. First, you need to assemble the system. It's very simple. Remove the tanks from the station. Unscrew the jumper in the middle, which is where the detergent tank is installed. This jumper is held in place by two screws. Then, remove the three rubber plugs inside the station, closer to the bottom. Two are for the tank connectors, and one is for connecting the platform's power supply. The central plug hides the plug to which you need to connect this platform. Connect the platform and install it in the station. Then, slightly unscrew the tank connectors and install them in their sockets. Replace the jumper and screw it into the station. On the back of the station, remove the plastic plug and fully unscrew the screws so that the connectors fit into the station's sockets. Next, install the elbow adapters to connect the tubes to the station. Connect the tubes to them using special connectors, and be sure to install the retaining rings. Next, install the pass-through branch in a suitable location, connect the magnetic control unit to it, and connect it to the station pipe. Note that the unit is marked with the direction of the pipe connecting to the station and the water supply.
The last thing left to do is install the drain. For example, I quickly made a temporary toilet drain:
Activate the self-cleaning function and voila – water fills the clean water reservoir and, after rinsing the cloth, drains into the toilet. Keep both lids closed, as the system requires a vacuum, so keep this in mind.
As a result, the Dreame Bot X10 Pro automatically pumps water into the station and the robot's reservoir, rinses the wipes, and drains the water. This represents the longest autonomy among robot vacuum cleaners in 2023!
Self-cleaning quality
The self-cleaning performance of the dust bin is near perfect. I ran the robot vacuum in a room with a lot of debris. It cleaned everything up, and we saw that the dust bin was completely full. We returned the robot vacuum to the docking station and saw that the dust bin was completely empty after self-cleaning. Self-cleaning is well implemented on this model!
Obstacle clearance
The Dreame Bot X10 Pro easily navigates 2 cm high thresholds, lifting up napkins in the process. That's a plus!
Driving on black surfaces
It's also not afraid of black surfaces, easily driving on completely black carpet. This is another advantage of the robot!
Noise level
As for the noise level, it's in the 53-67 dB range. Considering its high power, I can say it's a fairly quiet robot vacuum! That's a plus!
Personal opinion
Dreame Bot X10 Pro has been thoroughly reviewed and tested.our evaluation system he managed to gain 200 points and enter the TOP overall ranking of tested robotic vacuum cleaners, surpassing its predecessor, the Dreame Bot L10s Ultra. Keep in mind that I deducted a full 10 points for regional issues, so the global version will have an even higher score. I'll share my personal opinion of the robot.
I liked the following:
- An accurate system for recognizing objects on the floor that doesn't go blind in the dark.
- Remote home monitoring by connecting to the robot's camera via a smartphone.
- Combined station for self-cleaning, rinsing and drying of wipes.
- Effective drying of napkins with hot air.
- Automatic removal of napkin holders at the station for complete dry cleaning.
- Automatic supply of detergent when rinsing wipes.
- Increased capacity of water tanks.
- An optional module for connection to utility networks is available.
- High-quality self-cleaning and rinsing of wipes.
- High-quality dry and wet cleaning on any surface.
- The robot vacuum cleaner is capable of vacuuming and washing the floor at the same time.
- Automatic lifting of napkins when driving onto carpets.
- Convenient maintenance of the robot and station.
- A large number of functions for flexible adjustment of cleaning parameters.
- Good cross-country ability.
- The robot vacuum cleaner is not afraid of black floor coverings.
- Low noise level.
- Stylish design.
- High-quality assembly and high brand authority.
- Very nice price considering the functionality.
Speaking about the disadvantages, I would like to highlight:
- The robot vacuum cleaner is designed for the Chinese market, and therefore has a regional lock that must be bypassed.
- Doesn't sweep out debris in the corners.
- Not capable of removing difficult stains.
- There remains a narrow, unwashed area along the baseboard.
- Full service and warranty support from the manufacturers are not provided. Again, this is because this version is for the Chinese market.
- The built-in voice assistant only understands phrases in Chinese.
- Large station dimensions.
Overall, I can say that Dreame's engineers have done a great job over the past year. There's still room for improvement, but the robot has become more functional, efficient, autonomous, and smarter. It's definitely one of the best in 2023, even though some of its flagship features were copied from competitors. The only thing that's a bit concerning is the regional lock. It can be bypassed for now, but whether such tricks will work in a few months or years remains to be seen. In any case, errors only occur in the settings section. Once everything is configured using these workarounds, in the future it's just a matter of opening the app and pressing the "Start" button from the quick access menu. Notifications won't appear there.
So, the inconveniences aren't permanent. Definitely a very interesting robot for the price, and I personally switched to this model, replacing my Dreame Bot l10s Ultra, because I found the new features important for my operating conditions.
It's clear that the global version will be better and, most importantly, adapted for use outside of China. But then comes the cost issue. I expect the price difference to be almost double. Whether to pay extra or not is up to you.
On this note, I'd like to end this review. Happy shopping. Bye!

Is there any news when the global version of Dreame Bot X10 Pro will be released?
Not yet
What about connecting to the Chinese version of Alice? Is that possible?
It would be convenient to have all scenarios enabled by voice control instead of having to deal with region errors.
Hello, could you tell me the weight in the package?
About 23 kg, but I could be wrong, I didn’t weigh it.
Hello, thanks for the review. What about the availability of consumables?
Compatible with Dreame L10s Ultra, which are sold in many places.
I also came across an X20 device, which has some kind of drive that controls the extension of a single rotating napkin. Will there be a review?
Thank you
It will be by July, I think.
The Dreame X20 Pro Plus is already out in China. You can even get it on AliExpress for over 100. You can't keep up with the Chinese.
Thanks for another fantastic review! You're doing important and useful work. This vacuum cleaner is truly excellent, though I was surprised by the size. It's a stylish model that will fit perfectly into many interiors; there are few like it.
Hi! Can I control the robot through the Alice smart home system?
Only on Android via Mi Home from Vevs, as far as I know
Hello. Why haven't you tested the Bork V-830 vacuum cleaner? I wonder what ranking it will take. Thank you.
Bork doesn't provide their robots for review. The model you listed is a copy of the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni, which is reviewed on their website and channel.
Good afternoon, all links are for W10. Please advise where to find X10.
Thanks in advance!
There's a link at the end of the review, under the pros and cons.
Are you planning on reviewing the X20? It's already available in China, and it has a cool napkin-retracting feature (though I'm not sure how reliable it is or if it's likely to break).
I'm planning to do it closer to July)
Thanks for the detailed review.
As always, very detailed and clear.
Can the robot automatically drop mops for dry cleaning and then pick them up for wet cleaning, or do they need to be put back in place manually?
Automatically unfastens and fastens)
Good afternoon. I couldn't find any discussion of this bot on 4pda; it's probably not popular. How does it work with bypassing blocks? Is there a reliable way?
