In late February 2020, information about the new Genio Navi N600 robot vacuum cleaner surfaced online. This model features a camera for navigation, room mapping, and is suitable for both dry and wet cleaning. Furthermore, the robot is quite powerful, as its motor is mounted in the dust bin. As you can see, the kit is quite complete. In addition to allowing you to set no-go zones for the robot in the app, the manufacturer also included a magnetic strip.

Design

The Genio Navi N600 robot vacuum cleaner has a stylish design. On top is a camera for navigation and two mechanical buttons (start/pause and return to base).

There's a soft-touch mechanical bumper at the front, a power button on the side, and ventilation holes and a dust collector at the back that can easily be swapped for a water tank.

Turning the robot vacuum over reveals two side brushes, a central bristle-petal brush, wheels, and a swivel roller. The central brush easily disassembles for cleaning hair and pet hair. A microfiber cloth can also be attached to the bottom for wet cleaning.

The dust container is especially important; it's equipped with a Nidec brushless motor. This design allows the manufacturer to increase the Genio Navi N600's suction power to 2500 Pa, a remarkable figure. However, due to this motor placement, the dust container cannot be washed with water.

The water tank holds 360 ml of liquid. It also includes a small dust collector. However, during wet cleaning, the robot doesn't vacuum up debris, but rather directs it into the container using the central and side brushes. The water tank is equipped with an electronic pump, which prevents the water from flowing when the robot stops. You can also adjust the wetness of the cleaning cloth in the app.

Functional capabilities

Let's start with how the robot navigates. As we've already mentioned, the robot's navigation is based on a camera and sensors. The camera allows it to map the room, plot the optimal route, and remember the location of the base station. The robot navigates well and can thoroughly clean up to four rooms on a single charge. Incidentally, the Genio Navi N600 can continue cleaning after recharging.

The robot can be controlled using either a remote control or a mobile app. The robot connects to your smartphone via Wi-Fi, and the instructions provide detailed instructions on how to connect. The app offers the following features:

  • Selecting a cleaning area.
  • Setting up virtual boundaries and no-go zones.
  • View cleaning history.
  • Adjustment of suction power and degree of wetting of the cloth.
  • Possibility to turn off voice notifications (by the way, they are in Russian).
  • Returning the robot to base.

As mentioned earlier, the robot can simultaneously collect debris (not vacuum) and mop the floor. Cleaning quality is good, and you can adjust the water flow rate to avoid damaging laminate or parquet floors, or, conversely, to better clean tile floors.

Thanks to its high suction power, the robot effectively collects pet hair, fur, and small debris. The central brush is similar to the one installed on Xiaomi robot vacuum cleanersThe side brushes are equipped with anti-tangle protection.

Overall, the specifications and features are quite good considering the price segment of the robot vacuum cleaner.

Operating instructions

The manufacturer includes a Russian-language instruction manual. It covers in detail how to use the robot, maintenance details, and troubleshooting simple problems.

Pros and cons

Let's summarize the main advantages and disadvantages of the robot under consideration. Positive aspects:

  1. Camera-based navigation.
  2. Building a map of the premises.
  3. Control via application.
  4. Possibility of setting no-go zones and selecting cleaning zones.
  5. Electronic adjustment of suction power and degree of cloth wetting.
  6. Large cleaning area.
  7. High suction power.
  8. Good equipment.
  9. Simultaneous dry and wet cleaning.
  10. Optimal price.
  11. Availability of warranty support.

As for shortcomings, no particular ones were found. However, if we were to be picky, the following observations could be made regarding competitors in this price segment:

  1. The dust collector cannot be washed.
  2. The robot vacuum cleaner does not divide the room into zones.

Overall, this is a very interesting model and deserves a spot on our list of the best robot vacuum cleaners of 2020. Its specifications and features are quite reasonable considering the price!
