Roborock Dyad Pro: A Wet Stick Vacuum Cleaner with Advanced Features

The Roborock Dyad Pro cordless vacuum cleaner is a new product for 2023, just hitting the market. It's an updated version of the previously released and already successful Roborock Dyad. But the upgrade is significant: the updated model now features a roller drying function on the base, a built-in detergent cartridge, and several other important improvements. So, below, I'll show you how the Roborock Dyad Pro works, what it can do, how it differs from the previously released model, and then I'll give my opinion on whether it's worth buying. The price at the time of writing is between $325-370 and $450-500, placing it in the premium segment. I'd be grateful if you'd appreciate my efforts by subscribing and liking after watching the video. So, let's get started!
Equipment
Let's start our review with the package contents. The Roborock Dyad Pro arrived in this branded box:
The package includes:
- Charging and self-cleaning station for vacuum cleaner.
- Removable handle.
- Power adapter.
- Spare HEPA filter.
- Vacuum cleaner cleaning brush.
- Operating instructions.
- And, in my case, a branded detergent. But it's not always included.
Overall, the package is good. Let's move on!
Appearance
Let's take a look at the Roborock Dyad Pro's design. It's black and white. It's built to a very high standard, with every detail meticulously thought out, and you'll see for yourself.
Let's start with the cleaning module. It consists of two rollers: two short ones in the front and one long one in the back. Interestingly, Roborock Dyad It was the other way around - two short rollers at the back and a long one at the front.
But that's not the most important thing. The main advantage of this module, compared to its competitors, is that the rollers extend to the edge of the housing on both sides, allowing for close-up cleaning of dirt along baseboards and furniture.
The front rollers are easily removed by pulling them sideways. The rear roller needs to be twisted to release it from its locking mechanism. One side is equipped with a splash guard to prevent water from splashing outside the cleaning module.
At the front, we see a mechanical switch. It lowers and raises the mudguard in front of the front rollers. This protects the rollers from objects, such as wires or small toys, getting into their area.
And, of course, the highlight of the Roborock Dyad Pro is its integrated cleaning cartridge. According to the manufacturer, it lasts for 20 tanks of clean water, or 600 minutes of operation. It's economical to use.
Let's move on to a review of the remaining components. The dirty water tank capacity has been increased by 150 ml. It now holds up to 770 ml of liquid. Inside, there's a HEPA filter with a mesh and a sophisticated coarse filter with several mesh types.
The volume of the clean water tank has also been increased by 50 ml, allowing you to fill it with up to 900 ml of water.
The main unit's top housing features an informative display that shows the battery charge, the selected operating mode, service messages, and a floor dirtiness gauge. It's worth noting that in automatic mode, the Roborock Dyad Pro can automatically select the optimal suction power based on the dirtiness of the floor, a plus.
The handle, as standard, features three mechanical control buttons: power on/off, mode selection, and self-cleaning. The Roborock Dyad Pro has four operating modes: Eco, Automatic, Maximum, and the so-called Floor Dry mode, which apparently uses suction without supplying water. Eco mode has been added; the previous model didn't have it.
And here's how the charging station works. It also allows the vacuum cleaner to self-clean and dry the rollers. At the back, we see the ventilation holes for the fan, which provides warm air for drying the rollers.
Yes, and it's also worth noting that, unlike the Roborock Dyad, the Pro version supports full vertical parking, without a kickstand, and this is more convenient.
Technical specifications
The main characteristics of the Roborock Dyad Pro (I've indicated in parentheses how much each parameter has improved compared to the previous model, so you can better understand what else has changed):
- Battery: Li-Ion, 4000 mAh (-1130 mAh).
- Power consumption: 260 W.
- Suction power: up to 17000 Pa (+4000 Pa).
- Charging time up to 4 hours.
- Operating time: up to 43 min (+8 min).
- Clean water tank: 900 ml (+50 ml).
- Dirty water tank: 770 ml (+150 ml).
- Serviced area: 300 m² (+20 sq.m.).
- Noise level: 72-77 dB (-3 dB).
We see that many specifications have been updated, some of them important, such as tank capacity and suction power. The only thing that's unclear is the battery capacity. Previously, as far as I know, it had a 5130 mAh battery, but the manual now states 4000 mAh. However, the actual battery life has increased thanks to the implementation of Eco mode.
I measured the noise level myself. It's between 72-77 dB, depending on the mode. The noise level has dropped slightly thanks to the addition of Eco mode.
Functional capabilities
Speaking of the Roborock Dyad Pro's capabilities, as mentioned earlier, it can automatically increase suction power when it detects dirt. Also worth highlighting are the integrated English-language voice alerts. But it's far more interesting to explore the capabilities of the proprietary mobile app, which you can connect the vacuum to. I had some trouble with the app. When I selected Russia as my region, the Roborock Dyad Pro didn't appear in the device list, and the app didn't find it automatically. I had to create a new account, select the UK region, and the new vacuum appeared in the device list. I hope this issue will be resolved soon.
The app offers a wide range of settings. You can select the operating mode, manually adjust the power and water flow level, control the roller speed, and configure the self-cleaning and roller-drying functions. For example, you can set the vacuum to automatically start self-cleaning when placed on the charging station. You can choose the self-cleaning intensity, and even adjust the roller-drying time. Here's the catch: the default setting is 3 hours. I checked the rollers after drying, and they were slightly damp. I set it to 6 hours, and after 6 hours, the rollers were completely dry, so I still recommend adjusting the settings in the app. You can also set a drying schedule, set a time when the vacuum should not disturb you, view cleaning statistics, select the voice notification language, and track the status of consumables. Overall, they've developed a useful app specifically for this wet/dry vacuum cleaner, and that's a fact.
Testing
A detailed video review of the Roborock Dyad Pro, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:
And finally, let's move on to the tests. We'll see how well the Roborock Dyad Pro performs at its primary task – cleaning floors. There will be several tests, from simple to more complex.
The vacuum cleaner handles everyday floor cleaning well. In Auto mode, it automatically adjusts suction power depending on the degree of dirtiness of the floor. Liquid is thoroughly sucked into the dirty water tank, leaving no streaks or puddles.
You can also use the vacuum cleaner to pick up liquids and mixtures, like in my case, a mixture of raw egg and flour. Very convenient.
The vacuum cleaner removes dirt with flying colors, leaving no streaks or marks. Moreover, as mentioned earlier, the Roborock Dyad Pro is capable of cleaning dirt right up to baseboards, thanks to the design of its rollers extending to the edge of the unit.
However, it does remove tough stains with some difficulty. It takes some time. In my case, I was able to remove the stains in about 5 minutes, using the brand's cleaning product.
Dust collection is seamless. The Roborock Dyad Pro can vacuum up a wide range of debris, thoroughly picking it up even along baseboards and in corners. There are no blind spots, unlike with the Roborock Dyad. This is where the swapping of the rollers becomes clear.
Even carpets can be cleaned with this cordless vacuum if you're really determined. However, keep in mind that in this case, it's best to use the floor drying mode, which doesn't supply water to the roller.
And finally, the self-cleaning performance. So, after all the rigorous testing, I drained the dirty water from the tank, filled it with clean water, and turned on the deep self-cleaning function. The rollers were indeed clean, as was the platform on which the vacuum cleaner self-cleans. However, there's a small blind spot between the short rollers. Apparently, it's not rinsed, and this is worth considering. However, in real-life household conditions, the self-cleaning performance is good, and such issues shouldn't be an issue. As I mentioned earlier, drying the rollers is also effective if you set the drying time to 6 hours.
Personal opinion
The Roborock Dyad Pro upright vacuum cleaner has been thoroughly reviewed and tested. First, I'll highlight the pros and cons I discovered during testing, then I'll share my personal opinion of the device. I liked the following:
- An effective cleaning module based on three rollers.
- Removes dirt right up to the baseboard.
- Automatic supply of detergent to the rollers.
- Automatic suction power increase function.
- Long battery life.
- Convenient settings in the application.
- High quality assembly.
- Ergonomic design.
- Self-cleaning at the station.
- Efficient drying of rollers at the station.
- You can clean carpets.
- Vertical parking is provided
Speaking of drawbacks, there aren't any overall. A few minor comments can be made:
- At the time of writing, the Roborock app does not allow you to connect the vacuum cleaner when the region is set to Russia.
- Voice notifications are not translated into Russian.
- Non-removable battery.
But overall, for me personally, all three criticisms are extremely minor, and the vacuum cleaner definitely caught my attention. A major leap in development is the introduction of a roller drying function, which was sorely lacking in the previous model, as well as in other wet/dry vacuum cleaners. appeared in 2022 And before. The cleaning solution reservoir also makes the vacuum cleaner easier to use. Overall, Roborock is, as always, ahead of the curve, and we look forward to seeing these features implemented in similar products. Respect to Roborock's engineers for their hard work, and the vacuum cleaner is certainly recommended. It's sure to be considered one of the best wet/dry vacuum cleaners of 2023, if not the best.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping. Bye!

Could you please tell me the dimensions of the station?
Hello. The app connects to the vacuum cleaner, but it doesn't go past the "Device connects to the network" step. What could this be?
Same story, doesn't get past the "Device connects to the network" section.
Good afternoon! International reviewers claim that Roborock is misleading customers about the hot drying feature in this model. The heating element in the docking station doesn't work, and the air temperature in intensive drying mode never rises above 22-23 degrees Celsius. Is this true? Can you verify this?
This is a very serious drawback.
Tell me, which is the best washing vacuum cleaner today?
