Top 5 robot vacuum cleaners without a turbo brush in 2022

This article will review the best robot vacuum cleaners without a center brush in 2022. The lack of a center brush in a robot vacuum has both advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage of a center suction hole is that you don't need to constantly clean the turbo brush of tangled hair and fur. This minimizes robot maintenance. However, this solution also has its downsides. Robot vacuum cleaners without a center brush are significantly worse at picking up debris on carpets and still perform inferior in hair and fur removal, although the results can be virtually indistinguishable on hard floors. Therefore, this option is recommended for homes with only hard floors, without carpets. Below are the top 5 models I recommend considering if you've finally decided on a robot vacuum cleaner with a center suction hole. So, let's get started!
Hobot Legee 7
Our rating is opened by a popular robotic floor cleaner Hobot Legee 7, which also tops the list of the bestrobotic floor polishers 2021.
This robot is equipped with movable cleaning platforms with microfiber cloths attached. Nozzles are installed between the platforms to spray water onto the floor. A suction port is located directly in front of the platforms.
This design allows the robot to perform high-quality wet cleaning on any hard flooring. However, it can also be used for dry cleaning, in which case the robot will better collect debris and dust from the floor using dry wipes.
We tested both dry and wet cleaning performance at a high level. It's worth noting that the robot's D-shaped body effectively sweeps debris into corners, which may be important for many. The Legee 7 is equipped with a lidar sensor, which allows the robot vacuum to create a precise map of the room, store up to five maps in memory, and automatically divide the room into rooms. This allows you to customize cleaning in specific rooms, set no-go zones on the map, and direct the robot floor cleaner to specific cleaning areas. All functions are available in the mobile app. Furthermore, the robot supports creative voice commands that you can record and customize. Importantly, Hobot provides a full warranty and service for its products.
For the price, this is definitely one of the best options. It's worth noting that due to the design of the cleaning module, the Hobot Legee 7 cannot overcome obstacles taller than 5 mm. Otherwise, it can rightfully be considered the best robot vacuum cleaner without a turbo brush for dry and wet cleaning. Price: around $600.
By the way, if you are choosing a robot vacuum cleaner without a turbo brush for collecting pet hair, for reasons of not having to clean the central brush from wound hair, I also recommend taking a closer look at the new Hobot Legee D7It features a unique cleaning module design. A suction hole is installed in front of the central brush, which, according to the manufacturer, should eliminate the problem of hair tangling around the brushes by 80%. Pre-collection of hair and fur in front of the turbo brush is an excellent alternative to robot vacuums without a central brush. Sales are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2022. The price is planned to be similar to the Legee 7.
Liectroux ZK901
In second place is a universal robot vacuum cleaner with a replaceable cleaning unit Liectroux ZK901If needed, you can replace the central brush with a suction port. This will allow you to experimentally determine which option is more suitable for you: one with or without a central brush. This is especially true if you're choosing a robot vacuum cleaner for cleaning pet hair and long hair.
The robot is also equipped with lidar for navigation and a wet cleaning function. However, unlike Hobot, this robot has separate dry and wet cleaning modes. The dust collector can be swapped for a water tank if needed.
The specifications are also slightly inferior, but the functionality includes the ability to create a room map. You can set no-go zones and cleaning zones on the map; selecting individual rooms is currently not possible, as the robot doesn't divide the map into rooms.
The Liectroux ZK901 is controlled via a mobile app. Its dry and wet cleaning performance is average. However, it's important to note that with this navigation and features, the price of this robot vacuum is around $350-$400. It's significantly cheaper than the top-ranked model, and it's available with or without a center brush. So, it's definitely worth considering within this top 5.
Clever&Clean AQUA Light
The bronze medalist of our ranking is Clever&Clean AQUA LightPriced at around $220, this robot vacuum boasts a gyroscope for navigation, a simultaneous dry and wet cleaning function, control via both an app and a remote control, and a relatively low profile, measuring just 7.5 cm from the floor.
The robot's navigation is good, as expected for a gyroscope-based model. A room map is created in real time, but it's not stored in memory. On hard floors, the robot handles debris well, with a slightly higher suction power. Wet cleaning is also more effective. The robot isn't afraid of dark floors, and despite its compact size, it can easily navigate 2-cm thresholds. Overall, this is a very attractive robot vacuum cleaner for the price, without a central brush. Furthermore, the manufacturer is time-tested and provides full warranty support throughout Russia.
Eufy RoboVac G10 Hybrid
The rating of robot vacuum cleaners without a turbo brush continues Eufy RoboVac G10 Hybrid, which we also reviewed.
A gyroscope controls navigation, making this model more suitable for cleaning smaller areas. It also has a wet mopping function, which is implemented via a nozzle attached to the bottom of the robot. The robot vacuum cleaner can vacuum and mop simultaneously.
The dry and wet cleaning performance is above average, and this model has a powerful motor, allowing it to vacuum debris from crevices up to 6 mm deep. The Eufy RoboVac G10 Hybrid performed well during testing and left a generally positive impression. Furthermore, its build quality is superior to budget-friendly alternatives without a turbo brush, and its price is in the $250-$300 range.
In general, if you are choosing a robot vacuum cleaner without a central brush, I also recommend paying attention to this model. Eufy brand is quite well known abroad and is gaining popularity in the market.
iLIFE V9e
And finally, our TOP-5 robot vacuum cleaners without a turbo brush are closed by a new product iLIFE V9eThis is the only robot in this rating that's designed exclusively for dry cleaning. The lack of a water tank and cleaning cloth allowed for a lower price. The robot vacuum cleaner costs around $150. Those who don't need a mopping function might want to consider this unit to save some money.
The robot vacuum cleaner boasts high suction power (up to 4000 Pa), a gyroscope for navigation, control via an app and remote control, and a capacious dust collector with a cyclone (700 ml).
In real-world testing, the robot demonstrated good cleaning results on hard floors and strong suction power. Unfortunately, however, the powerful motor didn't provide a more thorough cleaning on carpets. The lack of a central brush still negatively impacts carpet cleaning. While the robot isn't particularly good on dark floors, it can navigate thresholds as thin as 2 cm. Therefore, for those looking for a powerful robot vacuum cleaner with a suction port for dry cleaning on hard floors, this option may be quite appealing.
Finally, I recommend watching the video version of our ranking of the best robot vacuum cleaners without a turbo brush in 2021:

Thanks for your reviews. I'd also like to mention the iLife V80 Pro, which also doesn't have a turbo brush, but has a huge tank and wet cleaning. The Pro version now features phone control, mapping, and more. It's certainly not the smartest and doesn't have a lidar (which often gets stuck and jams in other models), but it's reasonably priced at 15,000 rubles.
