Comparison of the Dreame F9, D9, D9 Max, D9 Pro, L10 Pro, Z10 Pro, and W10 robot vacuum cleaners

Comparison of Dreame robot vacuum cleanersComparison of Dreame robot vacuum cleaners

Hello to all readers of this site! In this post, I've decided to do a comprehensive comparison of robot vacuum cleaners in the Dreame lineup, covering the entire 2022 model range. I'll be comparing the Dreame F9, D9, D9 Max, D9 Pro, L10 Pro, Z10 Pro, and even the W10. In other words, I've reviewed and tested each of these models in-depth. By comparing specifications, features, and other parameters, you'll be able to find the best option for your needs and budget. Let's get started!

Cost comparison

First, let's talk about the cost of the robots being compared. The most affordable one is Dreame F9This is due to the robot's camera-based navigation. The model costs between $200 and $240.

A little more expensive, for $260-330 you can already get the most basic lidar robot vacuum cleaner Dreame D9.

Following him comes Dreame Bot D9 Max, which costs from $290 to $400.

Updated Dreame Bot D9 Pro It costs a little more, about $390-430, and this is a little strange, since for the same money you can buy a more advanced one. Dreame Bot L10 Pro with a 3D sensor for detecting objects.

And here it is Dreame Bot Z10 Pro The robot is already significantly more expensive due to the self-cleaning station. The price of the robot is between $470 and $550.

Dreame Bot Z10 ProDreame Bot Z10 Pro

Dreame Bot Z10 Pro

Well, the most expensive robot vacuum cleaner Dreame in the first half of 2022 is the new one Dreame Bot W10It costs between $850 and $1,000 due to its updated cleaning module and wipe rinsing station.

It's important to note that prices can literally plummet during sales season. For example, I saw offers where the Dreame D9 could be ordered for $220, the D9 Pro for $320, and the Z10 Pro for just $400. So, overall, the Dreame line of robot vacuums is very reasonably priced.

Comparison of characteristics

Now that we've sorted out the pricing, let's compare the features of Dreame robot vacuums, which will give you an initial indication of what's causing you to overpay. All the features are summarized in a table for easy reference.

Comparison of Dreame robot vacuum cleanersComparison of Dreame robot vacuum cleaners

It's important to note that all robot vacuums in the Dreame line have fairly powerful batteries, which is a plus! The W10 has an even larger battery capacity, as the cleaning module is equipped with additional rotating discs with cloths that drain the battery.

Although the entire Dreame Bot line claims 4000 Pa of suction power, the Dreame Bot L10 Pro actually demonstrated the highest suction power on the test bench. The D9 Max and D9 Pro were surprisingly weaker, although this is still a good result. However, all other robots in the Dreame line were less powerful. This isn't as critical for the W10, as it's still considered a robotic vacuum cleaner, but the situation with the Z10 Pro is somewhat odd. The power drop was likely due to the self-cleaning shutters in the dust container, which compromised the container's seal. In any case, all robots in the line have increased suction power. Most similar robots are barely capable of vacuuming debris from a 2 mm gap.

According to the manufacturer, the cleaning area of all robots is roughly the same. However, it's worth noting that the Dreame F9, with its camera navigation, can effectively clean areas no larger than 100 square meters. 240 square meters is more likely a figure for ideal conditions.

The robots' dust collectors are roughly the same. The W10 was the only disappointment, but then again, that robot specializes more in wet cleaning. The Z10 Pro doesn't need a large container because it self-empties after each cleaning.

Only the F9 and Z10 Pro have small water tanks, making them less ideal for wet cleaning large areas. Also, the W10 and D9 were the quietest. The other robots were similar in noise levels and louder.

It's also important to note that the F9 lacks a lidar sensor, making it the thinnest in the Dreame line. The W10 is also the tallest and won't fit under many types of furniture, as the standard clearance is typically 10 cm.

As a result, we see that the most affordable Dreame F9 has the largest cleaning area and differs from most others in its suction power. This explains its lower price. But it's more compact. The other robots are in a similar situation, with minor advantages in one area or another.

Functional capabilities

Now let's compare the robots' functionality. Again, all functions are listed in a table for easy reference:

Comparison of Dreame robot vacuum cleaner featuresComparison of Dreame robot vacuum cleaner features

It's worth noting that, due to its navigation system, the Dreame F9 can only store one memory map. All other robot vacuum cleaners in the Dreame line support up to three memory maps, making them suitable for cleaning two- and three-story homes. The Dreame Bot Z10 Pro and L10 Pro are additionally equipped with a 3D sensor on the mechanical bumper to detect and accurately avoid obstacles on the floor. These include cords, socks, slippers, and other objects. Unfortunately, the sensor system is unable to detect surprises from pets. Additionally, the flagship Z10 Pro and W10 feature a self-cleaning station and a wipe rinsing station. Accordingly, the Z10 is better suited for dry cleaning of large areas and for cleaning carpets, while the W10 is better suited for wet cleaning or combination cleaning on hard floors.

In fact, it is these differences in functionality that account for the main difference in the price of robotic vacuum cleaners.

Incidentally, information about the new Dreame Bot W10 Pro has already surfaced online. Apparently, the model has received only one upgrade – a bumper sensor system for detecting objects on the floor, similar to the Z10 and L10 Pro. Mi Home also added a new Dreame robot vacuum cleaner to its list of supported devices, called the Dreame Bot D10 Plus. This robot is equipped with a self-cleaning station, and it appears to have simply been added to the Dreame Bot D9 Pro. So, in theory, the robot is self-cleaning, but without the object detection system, which should reduce the price slightly. When official information from the brand becomes available, we'll publish the news on our website and channel!

Quality of cleaning

When discussing cleaning parameters, I'll rely on test results conducted under identical conditions. All results are shown in the comparison video:

All robots have good navigation, but the Dreame F9 takes 50% longer to clean the same area.

Both robots perform equally well on hard surfaces, picking up debris of varying textures, including fur and hair. Corners remain unswept, but the Dreame Bot W10 definitely excels in corner cleaning due to its unique body shape.

All Dreame robot vacuums perform well on carpets due to their increased suction power and turbo brush. However, the Dreame Bot D9 Max, D9 Pro, and L10 Pro perform better on carpets due to their higher suction power. Surprisingly, even the W10 cleans carpets well when run without the cleaning pads, which is what it's designed for.

With the exception of the W10, the wet cleaning performance of Dreame robot vacuum cleaners isn't very high. The water flow isn't very generous, and the pressure exerted by the cloth on the floor is weak. Therefore, the wet cleaning feature is better suited for dust collection and gentle floor wiping. The Dreame Bot W10, however, can automatically rinse its cloths at the cleaning station during cleaning, over a preset cleaning area. This is a major advantage for the robot. It also performs better at wiping away dirt thanks to its two rotating cloth platforms. The Dreame Bot W10 is definitely the best wet cleaning robot vacuum in the Dreame lineup and, in general, one of the best. The best robot vacuum cleaners of 2022.

And finally, the Dreame Bot W10 is the only robot that isn't afraid of black floors. All other robots in the Dreame line, like most other robots on the market, detect black floors as elevation changes and avoid them.

Overall, the cleaning quality of all robots is above average. Only the W10 stands out, which is precisely what we focused on.

Design

When comparing the design of robots, I would like to go over the main design components:

The first one is located on the mechanical bumper. wall sensor, which allows the robot vacuum to move smoothly along walls and furniture without any additional touches. This sensor is installed on the Dreame D9, D9 Pro, L10 Pro, Z10 Pro, and W10. The Dreame F9 and D9 Max do not have these sensors.

The second point is – number of fall protection sensorsThe Dreame F9 and D9 Max each have four anti-fall sensors. All other robots, namely the D9, D9 Pro, L10 Pro, Z10 Pro, and W10, have six anti-fall sensors, which can be important if the floor is multi-level and has height differences.

As for side brushAll Dreame robot vacuums except the W10 have a three-point side brush. The W10 has a five-point side brush, but more importantly, it's positioned on the edge, and thanks to the shape of the body, it's better able to sweep debris into corners.

Speaking of central brushAll robots are equipped with a central brush with bristles and petals, which can be easily removed from both sides to remove tangled hair and pet hair, which is a plus. The W10 has a slightly longer brush, but this doesn't significantly affect cleaning performance.

The next important point is - filtration system In the dust bin. All models except the Dreame Bot D9 Max have a dual filter system, consisting of a mesh filter and a HEPA filter. The D9 Max only has a HEPA filter in the dust bin.

Well, the last thing I would like to emphasize is – wet cleaning clothThe Dreame F9, D9, D9 Max, D9 Pro, and L10 Pro all have identical cleaning cloths. They have no bare spots on the sides and are the same shape. The Dreame Bot Z10 Pro has a smaller cleaning cloth, designed to allow the robot to self-clean through the bottom openings. The Dreame Bot W10 has round, denser cleaning cloths, which absorb water and dirt better.

Overall, there weren't any significant design differences between the Dreame robot vacuums. The Dreame Bot D9 Max has a few drawbacks, which are surprising compared to the more affordable D9. Otherwise, the robots are roughly identical in design and build quality.

Comparison results

We've provided a detailed comparison of the Dreame line of robotic vacuum cleaners. Now I'd like to share my opinion on which Dreame robotic vacuum cleaner is best for different situations.

Links to purchase from trusted stores are located at the beginning of the comparison!

If your budget is unlimited, the Dreame Bot W10 is definitely the best option for wet cleaning. It stands out from other robots thanks to its design and the inclusion of a wiper rinsing station. For dry and wet cleaning of large areas with minimal or no carpeting, this is the most optimal robot vacuum cleaner in the Dreame line.

If your budget is limited, you're cleaning an area of no more than 80 square meters, or you simply don't want to overpay, you might consider the Dreame F9. It's definitely the best robot vacuum under $200, and it even won our Comparison of budget Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaners, which included seven robot vacuum cleaners from various sub-brands. Its wet cleaning performance is on par with other Dreame robots, with the exception of the W10. Its filtration system, brushes, and cleaning performance are also on par, making it the best value in most cases.

If you're cleaning an area of 80 square meters or more, and high-quality dry cleaning is important, then you're left with a choice between the Dreame D9, D9 Max, D9 Pro, L10 Pro, and Z10 Pro. You'll pay more for a more sophisticated design, a floor detection system, or a self-cleaning station. The price difference isn't prohibitive, so just decide whether you need one or the other option.

I'd recommend the Dreame D9 if it were to cost less than $300, say $220-240, as it often does during sales. Then it would be even better than the F9.

Given the minimal price difference between the Dreame Bot D9 Max and the D9 Pro, I'd choose the latter due to its more sophisticated design and upgraded processor. Paying extra for the object detection system alone when choosing between the Dreame Bot D9 Pro and the L10 Pro makes sense, again, given the minimal price difference. If the difference is more than $100, I don't think there's any point in paying extra.

The Z10 Pro, however, is truly a robot worth paying extra for, as it not only offers a more precise cleaning experience but also self-cleaning, a feature that many people find appealing and popular in 2022.

So, here's my personal ranking of the Dreame line of robot vacuum cleaners in 2022:

  1. Dreame Bot W10
  2. Dreame Bot Z10 Pro
  3. Dreame Bot L10 Pro
  4. Dreame Bot D9 Pro
  5. Dreame Bot D9 Max
  6. Dreame Bot D9
  7. Dreame Bot F9

Or, if we're talking about the optimal choice for the optimal price, then here's what I can say:

  • Dreame Bot Z10 Pro or W10 (if you have an unlimited budget and your priority is dry or wet cleaning, and whether you have carpets or not).
  • For $350-$400: Best Option: Dreame Bot L10 Pro. If there are no other options, try the D9 Pro. Otherwise, try the D9 Max.
  • For $300-$350: The best option is the D9 Pro. If there are no offers, choose the D9 Max. Otherwise (if the area is up to 80 sq. m.), choose the F9. Otherwise (if the area is >100 sq. m.), choose the D9.
  • For $2.50-3.00. The best option is the D9 Max. If there are no other options, go with the D9.
  • For $200-250. The best option is F9. If the area is >100 sq. m., then D9.

On this note, I'd like to conclude our comparison of Dreame robot vacuum cleaners. I hope this information has helped you choose the best option for your needs and budget. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping! Bye!

    Thanks for the great review!

Hello! Could you tell me the difference between the Dreame D9 robotic vacuum cleaner and the regular D9? Both are available in global and Russian versions. The D9 is 2-3 thousand rubles cheaper.

  • Dmitry

Thank you so much for the review! I'm considering purchasing the L10 Pro model, but I'm worried that the robot won't be able to navigate my apartment due to the complex floor pattern—they're saying that robots in this line perceive black areas on the floor as obstacles.

    • Admin

Hello! The problem only occurs with black surfaces. I think everything will be fine in your case. By the way, the new Dreame Bot L10s Pro is not affected by black surfaces at all.

Hello, could you tell me which is better: the Dreame L10 Pro or the Q7 Max? I live in a two-bedroom apartment with carpet and linoleum. Will the L10 Pro's 3D sensor detect the carpet as an obstacle? I'm completely confused and still can't decide. Thanks in advance.

Hello, please tell me which robot vacuum cleaner is best. I keep rugs on the floor in the winter and remove them in the summer. I'm considering three options: the Roborock E5, the Xiaomi MIJIA 3C, and the Dreame Robot Vacuum Cleaner F9.

  • Victoria

Thank you so much for the article. Very informative. My question is: will I notice a difference in suction power between the d9 and f9? My apartment is 70 square meters, and I can't decide between these two robots.

Hello! Could you please tell me if the L10 Pro and Bot L10 Pro are different vacuum cleaners?

Hello. I'm choosing between the Dreame f9 and 360 p7. Which one is preferable for an apartment of about 50 m2?

  • Timur

66 square meters, children's room with a foam mat, medium-shade carpet in the living room, and a black carpet with rubber edges on the threshold, which is not very bright. Sometimes wires fall off, some fall on the floor, toys might not be picked up, or in auto mode, we simply don't control the pickup of items from the floor. The choice is between the Dream L10 Pro or the Vacuum Mop 2 Pro, which is better? Initially, I wanted the Vacuum Mop Pro 2, but I noticed the L10 Pro and its current price, where can I find it cheaper? It's 25,000 rubles. If you have any other models under 30,000 rubles to consider, please recommend them. We don't have pets, and the shag carpet is only in the living room. Three rooms + kitchen.

Hello. Which is better? The Dreame F9 or the standard d9s? Does lidar play a big role? My apartment is 50 square meters. I have laminate flooring.

  • Natalia

Hello, please help. I'm deciding between the L10 and the Z10. I saw the L10 with a self-cleaning feature on AliExpress, and I'm wondering if it's worth paying extra for the Z10? Or will the Z10 have better build quality?

    • Admin

Hello! The L10 with self-cleaning is apparently for the Chinese market. I haven't personally tested it and don't know the specifics. It's likely there could be software issues, but I'm not sure. It's best to read reviews from real buyers online.

  • Vadim

Hello! The 3D sensor on the Dreame bot is essentially a video camera or something else. If it's a video camera, the robot will send photos for comparison and receive the results.

  • Irina

    Good afternoon !
Please advise which robot vacuum cleaner is better to choose, I am choosing between Lydsto W2 and Dreame Bot w10?

  • Alexandra

Good afternoon! Thank you so much for this much-needed website! Just a week ago, completely clueless about these machines, I almost bought a terrible Chinese one for an exorbitant price. Thanks for saving my budget and my nerves.
I need some advice - I need a robot for my 60 square meter apartment with laminate flooring. I don't have any pets, but I have two kids who create a lot of trash and crumbs. I need good dry cleaning and decent wet cleaning. I currently use a vacuum cleaner every day and occasionally a steam mop, but I'd like a robot to do the job. My budget is up to 30,000 rubles. Based on your reviews, I've narrowed down my favorites to the Dreami D9, D9 Max, Roborock Q7, and Q7 Max. I understand the Roborock is more powerful, but the 10,000 rubles difference is a bit steep. Is it worth it, or is the Dreami a worthy contender for a good cleaning? Thanks in advance!

    • Admin

It's better to pay extra for a Roborock or get a Dreame Bot D10s from Dreamy. It's on sale for a good price.

  • Vitaly

Hello. Is the Dreame F9 Pro definitely better than the F9? They're currently the same price.
