DreameBot L10s Plus: Self-cleaning, High Power, Object Detection System

The new DreameBot L10s Plus robot vacuum cleaner is a self-cleaning version of the previously reviewed one. DreameBot L10s Pro Gen 2This robot has the same specifications and capabilities, but now comes with a self-cleaning station for the dust bin. With the station included, the price has increased from $40 to $550. So, below, I'll thoroughly test the DreameBot L10s Plus, highlight its pros and cons based on my test results, and then express my opinion on whether this robot vacuum is worth buying. So, let's get started!
Equipment
The robot vacuum cleaner arrived in a branded box like this:
The standard delivery package includes the robot itself with a station, a power adapter, two holders with wipes, a spare bag for the station, and an operating manual translated into Russian.
Appearance
Now let's take a look at the DreameBot L10s Plus's design. Let's start with the robot vacuum itself. It's round and comes in white. A wall sensor is mounted on the right side.
The floor detection system is located in the center. The height of the body is 97 mm from the floor. Regarding the floor detection system, the robot vacuum cleaner only detects obstacles on the floor; it does not recognize them. Remote home monitoring is also not available.
Navigation is handled by a lidar with a spring-loaded cover. Three control buttons are located next to it.
A dust collector and a water tank are installed under the top cover.
Dust collector capacity: 350 ml. Filtration system: mesh and HEPA filters.
In the container we see curtains for unloading waste from the dust collector into a bag at the station.
The water tank holds 300 ml. Liquid is supplied to the wipes via a pump. The water level is electronically adjustable.
The robot has four anti-fall sensors mounted on the bottom. A carpet detection sensor is located next to the swivel roller. There's a single, three-beam, quick-release side brush.
The central brush unit is floating. This is a plus. The brush itself is silicone and can be removed from both sides to remove tangled hair and pet hair.
Two holders with round cleaning cloths are installed behind the turbo brush. The cleaning cloth's baseboard-adjusting mechanism, unlike the flagship L- and X-series models, is not implemented. Instead, the cleaning cloths automatically lift up 7 mm when entering carpets.
Speaking of the station, DreameBot L10s Plus is self-cleaning through the bottom.
The trash bag is located on top, under the lid. It's a standard design, but with a larger capacity. It holds up to 4 liters of dry trash.

Testing
A detailed video review of the DreameBot L10s Plus, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:
Navigation
And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, we'll test the DreameBot L10s Plus's navigation in a room with obstacles. The robot vacuum first moves around the perimeter of the room, then cleans the entire accessible area in a serpentine pattern. It moved over the legs of the dryer without a problem. It also swept around the box and chair legs separately, then returned to the station. The test was successful.
Speaking of navigation within the home, the robot vacuum similarly moves room by room along the perimeter, then in a serpentine pattern. There are no uncleaned areas left, and the cleaning speed is high, so this model has excellent navigation!
Definition of objects
The DreameBot L10s Plus's object detection system is mediocre. It knocked over a scale and chewed a sock and a cord. Surprisingly, however, it didn't touch the simulated pet surprise. While this system is a plus compared to similar robots without it, you shouldn't rely too much on this technology, just like with the younger DreameBot L10s Pro Gen 2.
Suction power
The suction power of this robot vacuum cleaner was impressive. It was able to clean even a 10 mm gap. It wasn't as thorough as the L10s Pro Gen 2, but I think that's because the self-cleaning curtains compromise the dust bin's seal. Regardless, this is a very powerful robot vacuum cleaner.
Dry cleaning
The collection quality of various types of debris on laminate floors is good. Only a little debris remains in corners, where round robotic vacuums can't reach. It's also important to note that the central brush doesn't pick up any pet hair or fur. This is the main advantage of silicone brushes! All debris is collected in the dust bin.
Carpet cleaning
But the silicone turbo brush has its drawbacks. For example, it doesn't clean carpets as well, even with high suction power. While the robot can thoroughly clean low-pile carpets, medium-pile carpets can become stuck with debris that the DreameBot L10s Plus can't pick up.
Self-cleaning
Immediately after the "dirty tests," I checked how well the robot vacuum cleaner self-cleans. Before returning to the station, the dust bin was completely full of dirt. After the self-cleaning test, the dust bin was completely empty, so this robot's self-cleaning is excellent! The results are excellent.
Wet cleaning and carpets
When wet cleaning on carpeted floors, you can choose between two robot behaviors. The first is to automatically lift the pads when entering carpets, allowing the robot to simultaneously vacuum and mop, leaving the carpets dry and clean. The second option is to enable automatic carpet avoidance in wet cleaning mode. This is especially useful for high- and medium-pile carpets, preventing the pad from coming into contact with the carpet if necessary.
Wet cleaning
I'll focus on wet cleaning in detail, as there are some nuances. Round rotating pads are indeed more effective at removing dirt than regular pads fixed to the central brush. However, you can see that when dirt is present, these pads don't absorb the dirt, leaving some on the floor or creating circular streaks, which isn't ideal. If the station had a pad wash function, the robot could be run on the stand two or three times, and then, with an intermediate wash, it would completely clean the floor without leaving streaks. But the DreameBot L10s Plus station only self-cleans the dust bin, without pad wash, so its effectiveness in such conditions is minimal.
But under normal household conditions, the wet cleaning performance is truly superior to similar products. It doesn't leave streaks, the floor is thoroughly wetted when the water flow is set to maximum, and most importantly, the cleaning pad lift function. It lifts the pads not only on carpets, but also when the robot vacuum finishes a cleaning cycle or, conversely, when it's moving from the base to a designated cleaning spot. So, say the DreameBot L10s Plus has cleaned a room, but the pads are dirty. When it returns to the base, it lifts them, preventing the floor in other rooms from being soiled while charging. Alternatively, when it leaves the base for a separate room to clean, it won't soil the pads or waste water until it reaches the designated cleaning spot. This, in my opinion, is a significant advantage compared to many similar products.
And, like most other robot vacuums, this one can't clean a narrow strip along the baseboard because the cleaning pads don't extend to the edges of the body. With this robot, the blind spot is about 4 cm wide.
Obstacle clearance
The robot vacuum easily navigates 2 cm high thresholds, lifting up the cleaning cloths as it goes. That's a plus!
Driving on black surfaces
It's also not afraid of black surfaces, easily driving on completely black carpet. This is another advantage of the robot!
Noise level
As for the noise level, it ranges from 56 to 67 dB. The noise level is quite standard for this model. You could even say it's low, considering the high suction power.
Personal opinion
The DreameBot L10s Plus robot vacuum cleaner has been thoroughly tested. our evaluation system he managed to gain 158 points, which is a good result for a robot with a self-cleaning dust collector. For example, the closest analogue in the line is Dreame Bot D10s Plus, scored 147 points.
Overall rating of robot vacuum cleaners:https://robovac.washerhouse.com/en/rejtingi/robovac-obshhij-rejting-robotov-pylesosov-robo.html.
I'll highlight the pros and cons, then share my personal opinion of the new robot vacuum. I liked the following:
- In reality, the suction power is very high.
- The presence of a self-cleaning station for the dust collector, which effectively copes with its task.
- Automatic lifting of napkins when driving onto carpets.
- High-quality dry and wet cleaning on hard surfaces.
- Two rotating wipes wet the floor more thoroughly.
- The silicone brush is easier to clean from hair and fur.
- Complete Russification.
- A large number of functions for flexible adjustment of cleaning parameters.
- Good cross-country ability.
- The robot vacuum cleaner is not afraid of black floor coverings.
- A floor detection system. Although primitive, the robot cleans more accurately than its counterparts without a camera or sensors on the front bumper.
- Availability of warranty and service.
Here are some comments about the robot:
- The price is high. $550 for a robot without a napkin washing function is still a lot, at least considering the functionality it offers.
- Doesn't scrub the narrow area along the baseboard.
- Round cloths without a station and periodic washing during cleaning can leave circular streaks.
- The system for identifying objects requires improvement.
Ultimately, I can say that the DreameBot L10s Plus is the best option for those looking for a robot vacuum with a self-cleaning station, primarily for dry cleaning on hard floors, and when hair and fur are needed, as well as for mopping small areas. Overall, it has its pros and cons, as outlined earlier, but overall, it's an interesting robot vacuum. I couldn't find any compelling reasons not to buy it.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
