A review of the Dreame robot vacuum cleaner series: X, L, S, W, D, F, Z, and others. What are the differences?!

Dreame Robot Vacuum Cleaner Series ReviewDreame Robot Vacuum Cleaner Series Review

Hello to all readers of this project! In this review, I've decided to analyze the Dreame robot vacuum cleaner series. Understanding the series and the differences between them will take a considerable amount of time, and even then, it's not guaranteed to be clear. Chinese and global versions can be within the same series, and it's unclear how the series differ beyond regional affiliation. So, I'll explain everything briefly and clearly. So, let's get started!

Generally speaking, Dreame representatives, when including new products in certain series, are guided by division into price segments:

  • The X-series represents the highest class of robots, boasting superior performance and cutting-edge features. In short, they're flagships.
  • The L-series is high-end. It's a mixed bag: there are mid-range, premium, and flagship models. Confusion is starting to set in again, and I can't say what the company was thinking.
  • The D-series is a pure middle class of robotic vacuum cleaners.
  • F-series – budget segment models.

The W-series is discontinued, but as I understand it, it was supposed to be a D-shaped robot with round cloths and a washing station for those cloths. Apparently, they merged with the L-series, and the D-shape was abandoned in favor of a retractable side brush.

The Z-series was represented by only one robot. Z10 Pro, which was also released in an updated version in the L-series. This means the Z and W series are a thing of the past.

When I asked how the brand positions the S-series, I received no answer. I can say that, in theory, they are Chinese versions of the L-series. Only, as is typical for Chinese versions, they are succeeding with the release of new flagship models.

Dreame currently has two sub-brands: the Trouver division, which produces affordable robotic vacuum cleaners and upright vacuums for the global market. The MOVA division, which produces premium robotic vacuum cleaners and upright vacuums for the Chinese market, also produces premium robotic vacuum cleaners and upright vacuums.

And here we come to the main point—the regional differences between the Dreame robot vacuum cleaner series. The brand has implemented regional security for its devices, which can be circumvented, but not easily. At the same time, with the release of new products, this security becomes increasingly difficult to circumvent. Therefore, it's important to understand the differences between the global and Chinese versions. Then, you can choose the one you need at your own discretion.

Here we see that the F, D, and Z series are completely global. The L series somehow ended up with a Chinese version called the DreameBot L10 Plus. Be careful. The W series has both global and Chinese versions. Again, keep this in mind. There's also a separate Master series. These are Chinese versions of the flagship models with ultra-thin stations for connecting to sewer and water pipes.

The X-series is a separate issue for the person responsible for choosing the model name at Dreame. We've become accustomed to the X-series being premium models for the Chinese market. But no, the company abruptly changed course from the L-series to the X-series and announced two global X-flagships, namely the X30 Ultra and X40 Ultra. There's also the X40 Pro Ultra, but it's already being released for the Chinese market. And there's X30 Pro And X40 ProThey're also for the China region. My instructions in list form will be helpful here.

When new products not listed are released, I also recommend checking the brand's official website. Select the country in which you're using the robot, and the website will display only those models intended for that market. For example, the official website of the Russian representative will only display models available for sale in Russia.

I'd like to end this review on that note. If you're interested, I can do a similar review of the Roborock robot vacuum cleaner series. Let me know in the comments whether you'd like to do so or not.

Finally, I recommend watching the video version of the review:
