Appearance
Now let's take a look at the Trouver J40's design. The main unit houses a 460-watt motor, generating suction power of up to 150 Air Watts (28,000 Pa). The battery is removable, which is a plus. It also houses the charging port.
The vacuum cleaner is turned on and off by pressing the button located under the thumb. Above, there's an informative display with a touch-sensitive power mode switch. There are three power modes: low, medium, and high.
The dust container is removable for easy maintenance. You can also empty the dust container by pressing the release button on the bottom. The filtration system includes a HEPA filter, a foam filter, a multi-cyclone system consisting of 10 cyclones, and a mesh filter. The dust container holds 500 ml.
Let's look at the attachments included in the kit.
The main floor nozzle features a swivel joint and front-facing lighting for the cleaning area. Clear openings allow for the passage of larger debris. The roller can be easily removed from the nozzle without tools.
The structure is versatile—the short, elastic, V-shaped pile inserts perform well on both hard surfaces and carpets. Behind the roller, we see a comb for detangling tangled hair and fur.
A wet cleaning attachment can be attached to the main nozzle. This is a water reservoir with a microfiber cloth attached to the bottom. The tank holds 300 ml. The cloth is held in place with Velcro. Water flows to the cloth by gravity through dispenser valves.
This is how the nozzle attaches to the main floor nozzle, allowing you to use the Trouver J40 as a mop:
The upholstery and mattress cleaning attachment is equipped with a silicone turbo brush. A coin or flat-head screwdriver is required to remove the locking clip.
The crevice tool has retractable bristles and is suitable for cleaning hard-to-reach places.
Here's how to attach them to the extension tube for storage:
Let me remind you that the extension tube bends, which makes the vacuum cleaner easier to use when cleaning under low furniture.
Here's how it can be folded compactly for floor storage. This way, it could fit in a closet, for example.
The pros and cons of this design will be highlighted in the final analysis. Let's move on!

Testing
A detailed video review of the Trouver J40, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:
Opening hours
And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, let's check the Trouver J40's battery life at maximum power with the main floor nozzle attached. It managed 12 minutes and 27 seconds of operation, which is a typical result.
Suction power
Regarding suction power, at minimum power, the Trouver J40 easily cleaned crevices up to 10 mm deep and even 12 to 14 mm deep. It only partially cleaned crevices 16 to 20 mm deep. At medium power, it successfully cleaned crevices 20 and 25 mm deep. And at maximum power, it cleaned a 35 mm crevice well. So, in reality, this vacuum cleaner has increased power.
Collecting debris on laminate flooring
Now let's test how well the Trouver J40 picks up floor debris. I scattered various types of debris on the laminate flooring: hair, fur, grains, and other small household debris. This machine did a good job. There are no blind spots in the corners, which is a plus.
And here is the condition of the turbo brush after the test:
We see that some of the hair is still wrapped around it.
Anti-tangle Hair Protection
I also tested how well the combs detangled the roller. I laid hair of varying lengths on the floor and vacuumed it up. We can see that hair was tangled around the roller. So, the anti-tangle system isn't very effective. However, cleaning the turbo brush manually every few cleanings shouldn't be too difficult.
Carpet cleaning
When it comes to dust collection on carpets, the vacuum cleaner cleans both low- and medium-pile carpets extremely well. Passed the test!
Wet cleaning
I'll also show you how to mop floors using this vacuum cleaner and the wet mop attachment. Attach the reservoir to the main attachment and use the Trouver J40 as a mop. You can also vacuum while mopping, but it's best not to overuse the suction to prevent water from getting into the dust bin and damaging the vacuum.
Using additional attachments
It's also worth noting that the additional attachments allow you to clean a sofa, areas the main nozzle can't reach, and even clean inside a car or under furniture, thanks to the foldable extension wand. Overall, this vacuum cleaner is suitable for a variety of applications.
Cleaning the dust collector
Finally, I'll tell you how to clean the dust bin. Just press the button, and all the debris falls out through the bottom. If hair or fur gets stuck in the bin, you can remove the dust bin, take out the filtration system, and shake out the remaining contents without touching the debris. Convenient!
Personal opinion
The Trouver J40 upright vacuum cleaner was thoroughly reviewed and tested. Based on my experience with it and testing it, I can highlight the following pros and cons.
I liked the following:
- In reality, increased suction power.
- High-quality cleaning on various surfaces.
- Removable battery.
- Removable dust collector.
- Illumination of the cleaning area.
- A floor polisher attachment that allows you to not only vacuum, but also mop the floor.
- Informative display on the body with a touch button for switching modes.
- A collapsible extension tube that allows for convenient cleaning under low furniture.
- Compact storage when folded.
- Good filtration system.
- You can store additional attachments directly on the tube.
- Availability of warranty and service.
- Optimal price.
No real flaws were found, considering the price of the vacuum cleaner. There are only a few minor comments, namely:
- Switching modes requires using your other hand, which is a bit inconvenient. The button placement on the side for one-handed operation is popular.
- No vertical parking.
- There is no wall mount.
- The roller winds his hair around himself.
Ultimately, in my opinion, the Trouver J40 is a great cordless vacuum cleaner for a budget. Considering its price of $120, which is what some retailers are selling it for, it's definitely one of the best options for the money. In fact, it topped the updated list. Best cordless vacuum cleaners under $150The vacuum cleaner is powerful, efficient, convenient and well-equipped.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
