Atvel Zorro Z6 Spray: an updated robotic window cleaner with water supply and smartphone control

Atvel Zorro Z6 SprayAtvel Zorro Z6 Spray

The new Atvel Zorro Z6 Spray window cleaning robot is an updated version of the previously released Atvel Zorro Z6. The main upgrade is the addition of a cleaning fluid spray system, which improves window cleaning performance by keeping the cleaning cloths moist for longer. The robot can also be controlled via a mobile app, as an alternative to the remote control. However, the price has increased slightly, from $130 to $160. Below, I'll thoroughly test the Atvel Zorro Z6 Spray and then express my opinion on whether this window cleaning robot is worth buying. Let's get started!

Equipment

The Atvel Zorro Z6 Spray package includes:

  1. The robot itself with a secured safety rope and two holders with napkins.
  2. Power unit.
  3. Electrical extension cord.
  4. A cord for connecting the power supply to the outlet.
  5. Remote control.
  6. Two spare napkin holders.
  7. Six sets of spare napkins.
  8. Bottle for filling the robot with cleaning agent.
  9. Operating instructions.

Appearance

Let's take a look at the Atvel Zorro Z6 Spray. One of its defining features is definitely its color. The body is purple, and the wipes are burgundy, just like the previously released Atvel Zorro Z6. It looks very stylish! The safety cable is removable and attached to the robot out of the box.

A convenient handle for gripping the robot is mounted on the top of the body. It bears the company logo. Ventilation holes for the main motor are located on the sides.

The body height is 11.5 cm. Therefore, there are restrictions when using the robot on windows with bars.

The body features a mechanical on/off button. On the other side is a hole with a sealed valve for filling with cleaning agent or water. The tank holds up to 50 ml of liquid.

Next to it, we see a power connector. The liquid dispenser is installed on the side, in the center, right between the wipes.

Below, we see two round, rotating napkin holders. Robot status indicators are located between them. The napkin holders are secured to the robot by mechanical locks.

Overall, there are no major complaints about the build quality or design.

Functions

All the functions of the window cleaning robot are located on the remote control. These include automatic fluid feed on and off, forced fluid feed, manual control, window cleaning start, one of three automatic modes, cleaning stop, and start/pause. Again, nothing out of the ordinary, but these functions are sufficient for the robot's primary task.

Control via remote control

As mentioned earlier, the manufacturer has implemented additional control via a mobile app. It essentially includes all the same functions as the remote control. Connection to the robot is via Bluetooth.

Technical specifications

Main characteristics of Atvel Zorro Z6 Spray:

  • Backup battery: Li-Ion, 600 mAh.
  • Power consumption: 80 W.
  • Suction power: up to 3500 Pa.
  • Water tank capacity: 50 ml.
  • Battery life: up to 30 min.
  • Dimensions: 290*145*115 mm.
  • Weight: 0.9 kg.
  • Noise level: up to 73 dB.

I personally tested the noise level. When running a robotic window cleaner indoors, its noise level is approximately 73 dB. However, when cleaning the outside of a window, you can close the sash, and the noise level is minimal—56 to 57 dB. This depends entirely on the soundproofing quality of your double-glazed window.

Testing

A detailed video review of the Atvel Zorro Z6 Spray, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:

Navigation and window cleaning quality

And finally, let's move on to the tests. You can simultaneously observe the robot's navigation and the quality of its cleaning of the outside of the window. I can say that the robot navigates well, doesn't slip, and is capable of cleaning both narrow windows as small as 38 cm wide and larger ones measuring 150 x 90 cm.

And the quality of dirt removal is on par with premium products. Here's a visual comparison of the windows before and after:

Quality of window cleaning from the outside

You can see that it's truly effective and gets the job done. It's worth noting that I ran the robot twice on each section. The first time with dry wipes to collect the bulk of the dirt and dust. The second time, with the automatic water supply enabled.

Regarding the quality of window cleaning, there's only one caveat, typical of all robotic window cleaners: these devices aren't yet capable of effectively cleaning dirt in corners due to their design. But it will definitely help you get the bulk of the job done.

Application on other surfaces

This robot can also be used to clean tiled walls, shower stalls, and mirrors. It can even be used to clean horizontal surfaces. However, I wouldn't recommend using it for cleaning frameless windows. During testing, it malfunctioned several times, overshooting the surface and losing its grip on the mirror.

Emergency mode

Let me explain how the Atvel Zorro Z6 Spray operates in emergency mode. When disconnected from the power supply, the robot starts beeping and the red indicators on both sides of the body flash. This allows you to quickly detect the problem and remove the robot from the window.

Personal opinion

The Atvel Zorro Z6 Spray window cleaning robot was reviewed and tested. I'll share the pros and cons I discovered about this model. I liked the following:

  1. Good navigation.
  2. Good quality window cleaning.
  3. Automatic spraying of cleaning liquid.
  4. Control is possible not only via the remote control, but also via an app on your smartphone.
  5. Stylish design.
  6. Capable of removing light stains.
  7. Suitable for washing horizontal surfaces.
  8. Can be used to wash mirrors, walls and other hard surfaces.
  9. Availability of warranty and service.

Speaking of downsides, the main one is typical of absolutely all robotic window cleaners: the Atvel Zorro Z6 Spray doesn't clean corners. Another minor gripe is that it can make errors when cleaning frameless surfaces. Otherwise, for the price, the device has no serious flaws and is definitely recommended. Considering its color scheme, it would definitely be an interesting gift option for a girl.

On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping. Bye!
