Ecovacs Deebot T30 PRO OMNI: GLOBAL LANGUAGE with Russian language, Alice, and YIKO AI assistant

Ecovacs Deebot T30 PRO OMNIEcovacs Deebot T30 PRO OMNI

In this review, I'll be looking at the Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI robot vacuum cleaner. I've previously reviewed this model, but only for the Chinese market, which has its own set of nuances. Now, I'll be focusing on the global version. I'll explain the differences between the global Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI and the Chinese version, show you how it performs in tests, and then highlight its pros and cons, as well as offer my opinion on whether this model is worth buying. The price at the time of writing is in the $850-$900 range, which is quite reasonable given its specifications and features. So, let's get started!

Difference from the Chinese version

First of all, I’ll tell you what’s the difference between the Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI in the global version and the Chinese one, which is also called Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro, just without the OMNI prefix. So, the most important thing is that The international version is sold by official distributors., and a warranty, service, and full after-sales support are provided. I've included a link in the description for purchasing from official dealers.

The next major difference is that to connect the global version no need for a Chinese SIM cardSelect your region—Russia or the one where you live—and register in the app using your phone number. For many, this is very important.

Another strong argument in favor of globalization is The application interface is in Russian.Everything is intuitive and user-friendly. Regarding voice notifications, the global version offers many languages, but Russian is not yet available. Brand representatives indicate that a Russian voice pack is expected to be available by September. As for the proprietary voice assistant "OK, Yiko," in the global version it currently only accepts English phrases; it's unclear whether Russian commands will be added.

Yes, and the last point is the global T30 Pro OMNI managed through Yandex.AliceThis is also important for many.

In any case, given the virtually identical price, it makes sense to consider the global version. However, if the price difference is significant in favor of the Chinese version, you might want to consider it as well. The main thing is that the seller provides account login credentials.

Equipment

Let's get started with the review. The package is standard. It includes the robot and its station, a power adapter, and documentation.

Equipment

If necessary, you can purchase a special kit for connecting to the sewer and water supply. It is sold separately.

Appearance

Now let's take a look at the design of the Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI. It's visually identical to the Chinese version. Even the white color remains. The robot vacuum itself is round and comes in white.

Navigation is handled by a lidar equipped with a spring-loaded cover. Three mechanical control buttons are located next to the lidar.

The dust container is located under the top cover. Next to it is a WiFi reset button and a QR code for connecting the robot to the network. The dust container has a HEPA filter with a foam insert and a mesh filter. The container holds 300 ml. The robot also has a small 55 ml water tank, but it is hidden inside the body. Water is automatically pumped into the tank at the station and released onto the cleaning pads during cleaning.

Two round cloth holders are located behind the turbo brush. Under the holder on the left, you can see the cloth extension mechanism, allowing for thorough cleaning along baseboards and furniture. Ecovacs calls this technology TruEdge. It's worth noting that the cloth not only presses against the baseboard while cleaning, but also fits snugly into corners, improving corner cleaning.

Lifting napkins

As for the station, the Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI self-cleans from debris, washes the wipes with hot water heated to 70 degrees, and dries the wipes with warm air after cleaning.

The robot's access ramp, combined with a napkin tray, is completely removable. This makes the station very convenient for maintenance.

Above is a waste bag. Interestingly, it's a standard bag. For example, the Chinese version has a four-layer design, with a silver-ion membrane layer and a black activated carbon layer inside, providing antibacterial protection. This one doesn't have that. Above are the clean and dirty water tanks. The clean water tank holds 4 liters, while the dirty water tank holds 3.4 liters. Unfortunately, there's no separate compartment for detergent.

Automatic detergent mixing is provided in the module for connection to the sewer and water supply. This module contains a special cartridge with detergent.

Overall, the Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI's design is on par with many premium alternatives from other brands. The advantages and disadvantages of the design will be outlined in the final review.

Technical specifications

Key features of the Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI, as stated by the manufacturer:

  • Navigation: Lidar + TrueDetect 3D 3.0

It's worth highlighting the increased suction power, which will certainly be verified in tests. The other specifications are comparable to similar devices.

Functional capabilities

Speaking of the Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI's features, the robot vacuum is controlled via the proprietary Ecovacs Home mobile app. Connecting was straightforward, and the menu is in Russian.

Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI: ControlsEcovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI: Controls

Control

The main functions are displayed on the screen (new features are highlighted in color):

  • Washing napkins with hot water at the station (70 °C)
  • Napkin extension to the baseboard (TruEdge)
  • Improved floor cleaning in corners
  • Automatic detection of cleaning settings (Smart hosting)
  • Foot touch control.
  • Voice assistant "Ok, Yiko"
  • Yandex.Alice support.
  • Self-cleaning of the dust container
  • Drying napkins with warm air
  • Identifying objects on the floor
  • Saving multiple cleaning maps in memory
  • 3D map of the room
  • Automatic zoning of a room into rooms
  • Selecting areas and rooms for cleaning
  • Virtual walls and no-go zones (and for wet cleaning mode)
  • Suction power adjustment
  • Setting the frequency of washing napkins (10, 15, 25 minutes/by room).
  • Cleaning log
  • Setting up a cleaning schedule
  • User mode
  • Automatic power increase on carpet
  • Carpet sweeping in wet cleaning mode
  • Automatic lifting of napkins when driving onto carpets

I'd like to point out that they've increased the water temperature for washing the cloths from 55 to 70 degrees Celsius. They've also added a mode for automatically determining cleaning parameters. It's called Smart Hosting. It's similar to Roborock's SmartPlan and Dreame's CleanGenius. I described the cloth ejection in detail in the design review.

Functions

I'd also like to highlight a new feature: foot control. The idea is that you can tap the bumper with your foot to start cleaning, even if the robot vacuum was previously in standby or paused mode. This feature will probably be convenient for some. Just don't kick it too hard.

I can say that overall there are a lot of settings, and they allow you to flexibly adjust cleaning parameters to suit your individual conditions.

Testing

A detailed video review of the Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:

Navigation

And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, we'll test the Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI's navigation in a room with obstacles. The robot vacuum first moves around the perimeter of the room, then cleans the entire accessible area in a serpentine pattern. The dryer's legs presented no problems. The robot also swept around a box and chair legs separately, then returned to its station. The test was successful.

Navigating within a room

Speaking of navigation within the house, the robot vacuum cleans room by room, following the perimeter, then in a serpentine pattern. Every 15 minutes, as I've established, it returns to the station and washes the cloths, then resumes cleaning from where it left off. In total, during the cleaning cycle, it made three intermediate trips to the station to wash the cloths. There were no uncleaned areas; this model has excellent navigation!

Identifying objects on the floor

But the floor detection system remains crude, no matter what array of sensors and cameras Ecovacs engineers have implemented. I was hoping that the global version would improve the TrueDetect system, but it didn't work. The robot vacuum hit a toy and a sneaker, ran over a fake pet's surprise several times, and ended up chewing a sock.

Definition of objects

So, the Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI's object avoidance system definitely needs some improvement. In reality, the robot performed even worse, but I think it was a stroke of luck that the Chinese version didn't chew on a sock or a cord.

Suction power

As for the suction power, I can say it's strong. The robot vacuum was able to suck up debris from a 10mm gap, albeit only partially. Still, the results are good.

Dry cleaning

The collection performance of various types of debris on laminate floors is good. Only a small amount of debris remains in corners, where round robotic vacuums can't reach. In reality, the central brush barely picked up any hair or fur. All debris is collected in the dust bin. Test passed!

Carpet cleaning

The same debris was scattered on a low-pile carpet. And I can say that the Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI thoroughly cleaned the carpet. It can also clean medium-pile carpet, but not as effectively.

Self-cleaning

Immediately after the "dirty tests," I checked how well the robot vacuum cleaner self-cleans. Before returning to the station, the dust bin was completely full of dirt. After the self-cleaning test, the dust bin was completely empty, so this robot's self-cleaning is excellent! The results are excellent.

Wet cleaning

The cleaning performance is also excellent. The cloth adheres well to the floor and absorbs dirt.

Wiping off dirt

When it came to scrubbing tough stains, the robot was able to remove even dried-on coffee and sauce stains. Granted, it didn't do it on the first try. It took ten tries, to be precise. But it was still up to the task. Many similar and predecessors in the line couldn't even achieve this level of performance.

Removing difficult stains

An interesting observation: I didn't use detergent in this test, as it wasn't included. However, when I tested the Chinese T30 Pro, it had a detergent cartridge installed in the station. And with detergent, the robot removed stains in six passes. So, detergents actually improve the quality of the floor cleaning.

Wet cleaning and carpets

When it comes to wet cleaning on carpeted floors, the robot offers several different modes of interaction. It can carefully navigate around the carpet in wet cleaning mode, or it can enter and touch the carpet with its cleaning pad if you want to clean it with the robot. It can also clean carpets during wet cleaning, automatically lifting the cleaning pads when entering the carpet. This is the most optimal cleaning option.

Washing quality of napkins

And right away, I'd like to talk about the efficiency of the station itself. In a domestic setting, after washing the floor, the wipes are thoroughly rinsed at the station. A minimal amount of dirt is washed away under the pressure of warm water. That's a plus.

The station itself is very easy to clean. We remove the drain, rinse it in the sink, and then return it.

Obstacle clearance

The robot has excellent maneuverability. It can easily cross a 2 cm threshold!

Personal opinion

The Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI robot vacuum cleaner has been thoroughly reviewed and tested. our evaluation system he managed to gain 199 points and enter the TOP-10 tested robotic vacuum cleaners at the time of writing this review. In my opinion, it was fairly placed between Roborock Qrevo MaxV And Dreame Bot X20 Pro PlusIf not for the comments listed below, it would have certainly been a contender for a top-5 spot. I'll highlight the pros and cons, and then share my opinion on the new robot vacuum.

I liked the following:

  1. High-quality waste collection on both hard surfaces and carpets.
  2. Effectively removes dirt from the floor.
  3. High suction power.
  4. Capable of cleaning areas right up to the baseboard, thanks to a pull-out holder with a cloth.
  5. Improved cleaning in corners thanks to the robot's rear entry with the cleaning cloth extended.
  6. Turbo brush protection system to prevent hair and fur from getting tangled.
  7. Availability of a station for self-cleaning the dust collector, washing and drying napkins.
  8. The station can be connected to the sewer and water supply by purchasing the appropriate module.
  9. Washing napkins with hot water.
  10. Drying napkins with warm air.
  11. The station design is easy to maintain thanks to the removable one-piece ladder.
  12. High-quality self-cleaning.
  13. Automatically lifts the wipers when entering carpets. Moreover, the wipers lift higher than many similar products.
  14. A large number of functions in the application.
  15. Smart automatic cleaning mode, in which the robot independently selects cleaning parameters based on artificial intelligence algorithms.
  16. Not afraid of black coatings.
  17. Good cross-country ability.
  18. High quality assembly.
  19. The built-in proprietary voice assistant, "Ok, Yiko," currently doesn't understand Russian, but there's hope this feature will be added. It understands English commands well.
  20. Availability of warranty and service from official distributors.

Speaking about the disadvantages, there are the following comments about the robot:

  1. The item identification system requires serious revision. It's safe to say that it doesn't work in the current model.
  2. There is no automatic detergent supply in the standard station configuration.
  3. Doesn't sweep out debris in the corners.
  4. There is no function to remotely monitor your home through the robot camera.

Ultimately, despite the design improvements, the Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro OMNI still has issues that were also found in previous models in the line. This explains why it only ranked 8th at the time of writing. Overall, however, this robot vacuum is worth considering and is recommended. If these issues aren't too serious for you and the advantages appeal to you, then you can buy it with confidence.

On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone. Bye!
