The robot has four fall protection sensors installed underneath. A carpet sensor is located next to the swivel roller, which is also a good thing! There's a single, three-beam, quick-release side brush. The central brush unit is floating. The turbo brush has bristles and petals, and can be removed on both sides to remove tangled hair and fur.

Testing

A detailed video review of the EVOLUTION AIRO, including all tests, has already been prepared and published on the channel:

Navigation

And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, we'll test EVOLUTION AIRO's navigation in a room with obstacles. When entering the room, the robot vacuum first navigates the perimeter, then cleans the entire accessible area in a serpentine pattern. The legs of the clothes dryer presented no problems. The robot also navigated around all four legs of a chair and a box, before returning to its base. Test successful!

Navigating an Obstacle Room

Speaking of navigating around the house, EVOLUTION AIRO cleans room by room, first along the perimeter, then in a serpentine pattern. There are no uncleaned areas, the cleaning speed is high, and this model's navigation is excellent!

Suction power

I was very impressed with the suction power. The robot vacuum was able to suck up debris from crevices up to 8 mm deep. This is truly a very powerful robot vacuum.

Dry cleaning

The collection performance of various types of debris on laminate floors is good. Only a little debris remains in corners, where round robot vacuums can't sweep. A little hair and fur got caught on the turbo brush, but the majority of the debris was collected in the dust bin. Test passed!

Cleaning the carpet

The EVOLUTION AIRO does a great job cleaning medium-pile carpets, thanks to its high power and floating turbo brush!

Self-cleaning

Immediately after the "dirty tests," I tested the EVOLUTION AIRO's self-cleaning performance. I ran it again in a room with a large amount of debris, which the robot picked up without difficulty. The dust bin was completely full. I returned the robot to the station and started the self-cleaning routine. The results were good. The dust bin was completely empty!

Wet cleaning

The cleaning performance is also excellent. The cloth presses firmly to the floor and absorbs dirt. All that's left is a narrow, unwashed area along the baseboard, which is a weak point for almost all the robot vacuums we reviewed.

Wet cleaning and carpets

For wet cleaning on carpets, thanks to a special carpet sensor, EVOLUTION AIRO automatically avoids carpets when the cleaning cloth is attached. To clean carpets, simply remove the cleaning cloth and start dry cleaning.

Obstacle clearance

The EVOLUTION AIRO has excellent off-road capability. It can even overcome 2 cm thresholds. That's a plus!

Driving on black surfaces

There are also issues with driving over black surfaces. The robot recognizes the height difference and avoids it. However, there are no issues on hard black surfaces. This is important to keep in mind.

Noise level

As for the noise level, it ranges from 57.5 to 67.5 dB, depending on the selected mode. The noise level is low, considering the increased suction power.

Personal opinion

The EVOLUTION AIRO robot vacuum cleaner has been thoroughly reviewed and tested. our evaluation system he managed to gain 129 points, which is basically very good for an inexpensive self-cleaning lidar robot vacuum cleaner.

Overall rating of tested robot vacuum cleaners:https://robovac.washerhouse.com/en/rejtingi/robovac-obshhij-rejting-robotov-pylesosov-robo.html.

I'll share my personal opinion about it. I liked the following:

  1. Self-cleaning function.
  2. High suction power.
  3. High-quality dry and wet cleaning.
  4. Good equipment.
  5. Complete Russification.
  6. A large number of functions in the application.
  7. Good cross-country ability.
  8. Low noise level.
  9. Yandex.Alice support.
  10. Optimal price, considering the presence of a self-cleaning station.

As for the downsides, considering the price and the self-cleaning feature, I only have one small complaint about the robot - the fact that it is afraid of black carpets.

Ultimately, I can say that for under $300, this is a good option, especially if you don't have carpet on your floors, or if you do have carpet but are willing to run the robot twice—first for dry cleaning of the entire available area, and then for wet cleaning on hard surfaces. Overall, the robot proved to be powerful, functional, and, most importantly, effective.

On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping. Bye!
