Gutrend Vision 730: the most powerful and functional in the line!

This article will review the latest new product: the Gutrend Vision 730 robot vacuum cleaner. It's the company's flagship at the time of writing, and its price of $380 places it in the premium segment. Let's explore the Gutrend Vision 730's features and functions, how it performs at its core function, and whether it's worth the money. Let's get started!
Equipment
First, let's look at what's included in the package. The robot vacuum cleaner comes in an informative branded box. It displays all the key information about the model, including specifications and key features.
In addition to the robot itself, the box contains:
- Charging base with a compartment for storing the cord.
- Power adapter.
- A combined water and dust container with a microfiber cloth installed. It's worth noting that the robot itself comes with a dust collector.
- Replaceable central unit in the form of a suction module.
- Replaceable central silicone brush.
- Remote control.
- Operating instructions, a quick start guide for the robot, and a warranty card.
- Magnetic tape to restrict movement.
- Spare microfiber cloth.
- Two spare side brushes.
- Spare filter.
- Brush for cleaning the dust collector.
- Tool for cleaning the central brush.
This is the entire package. In my opinion, the complete package includes everything you need for several months of use with a robot vacuum cleaner. That's a plus.
Appearance
Let's take a closer look at the Gutrend Vision 730's appearance. It's round and matte black. The top panel is made of metal, increasing its durability. The body's diameter is smaller than most similar robots, measuring just 325 mm. This allows the robot to access tighter spaces and cover a larger cleaning area. The body's height, however, remains standard at 96 mm.
A soft-touch mechanical bumper is installed at the front. Next to the lidar on the top cover are two mechanical buttons: start/pause and a Wi-Fi connection reset button. The lidar is stationary, and there is no mechanical button to prevent it from getting stuck under furniture.
The dust container is removable from the rear and holds up to 500 ml of dry waste. A dust cover is installed inside to prevent accidental spillage when the container is removed.
The filtration system is three-stage, using HEPA, foam, and mesh filters. Incidentally, the HEPA filter is class HEPA-14, and as far as I know, this is the highest class currently available. That's a plus.
Instead of a dust collector, you can install a combined water and waste container in the robot. The cloth is attached to the bottom with Velcro and elastic bands.
Water flows through four holes into the cloth. A pump is installed inside the tank to electronically regulate the water flow. The tank itself holds approximately 250 ml of water. The waste container holds no more than 200 ml. It also features a protective curtain and a triple filtration system.
Let's take a look at how the Gutrend Vision 730 is designed from below:
It is equipped with three fall protection sensors. It has two side brushes, three-beam, and quick-release. The robot comes with a bristle-petal brush that can be removed on one side for cleaning hair and pet hair. It can be replaced with a silicone brush, which is easier to clean from tangled hair and pet hair and is better suited for cleaning hard floors. The mechanism also disassembles on one side for easy cleaning of the brush.
Alternatively, you can install a suction module with a rubberized scraper in the center instead of a brush. This eliminates the need to clean the brush of tangled hair and fur, but there are some caveats, which I'll demonstrate during my tests.
Overall, the build quality of the Gutrend Vision 730 is average, but we were pleased to see that it comes in several versions to suit different robotic vacuum cleaner usage conditions.
Technical specifications
Now let's look at the main characteristics of the Gutrend Vision 730, as stated by the manufacturer:
- Li-Ion battery 5200 mAh.
- Suction power up to 2800 Pa.
- Operating time up to 200 min.
- Cleaning area up to 200 sq.m.
- Dust collector capacity is 500 ml.
- The volume of the combined container is 450 ml.
- Passability of obstacles up to 15 mm.
- Dimensions: 325*96 mm.
- Noise level 69-80 dB.
The specifications are quite standard for premium robot vacuums in 2021. The only thing worth noting is the slightly increased suction power, which we'll definitely confirm during our tests. Let's move on.
Functional capabilities
The Gutrend Vision 730 can be controlled both via a remote control and a proprietary mobile app. First, let's look at the app's functionality. You can download it by scanning the QR code in the instructions. Installation is straightforward; just follow the manufacturer's instructions.
On the main work panel, the robot creates a map of the room, saves it in memory, and automatically zones it into rooms.
First, let's check the robot vacuum's basic settings. You can:
- Change his name.
- Set up a cleaning schedule by choosing the time, days of the week, suction power, water flow level, and even rooms to clean if needed.
- View the cleaning log.
- Switch to manual control mode.
- Turn on Do Not Disturb mode at the desired time.
- Adjust the volume of voice notifications. By the way, the Gutrend Vision 730 speaks Russian.
- Choose the color of the carpet (it’s not entirely clear why this is).
- Enable automatic power increase mode when driving on carpets.
- Update firmware if necessary.
- Track the status of consumables.
- Find the robot vacuum cleaner by the sound signal.
Let's return to the main control panel. Here, you can choose one of three main operating modes: automatic cleaning of the entire available area, selection of specific rooms to clean and the number of robot passes (from 1 to 3), and selection of cleaning zones on the map, with the number of passes (also from 1 to 3).
When working with a map, you can save the created map to memory or select a desired map from the robot's memory. It's important to note that the Gutrend Vision 730 can store up to five unique maps. You can also combine several rooms into one, divide a room into separate zones, and give them appropriate names. And of course, this robot supports virtual walls and no-go zones on the map, even creating separate no-go zones for wet cleaning mode.
Additionally, on the main control panel, you can adjust the suction power, water flow level, and select a wet cleaning mode: a regular sweep pattern or a thorough wet cleaning pattern. In the latter mode, the Gutrend Vision 730 makes back-and-forth passes for more thorough cleaning.
It's also worth noting that the Gutrend Vision 730 supports voice control via Yandex.Alice and Google Assistant. Furthermore, it can continue cleaning after recharging at the base, which is a plus.
As for the remote control, it doesn't have many buttons. Functions such as manual control, forced return to the charging base, and start/pause are isolated.
It's better than nothing, but I'd also like to be able to at least adjust the suction power. The remote control is compact and magnetically attaches to a special recess on the charging base for easy storage.
This is all the functionality of the Gutrend Vision 730 and it is truly advanced, on par with its premium counterparts.
Testing
A video review with all the tests has already been prepared and published on our channel. We recommend watching:
Navigation
Let's move on to detailed tests. First, we'll check the Gutrend Vision 730's navigation in a room with obstacles. The robot vacuum divided the already small room into separate zones and first cleaned the perimeter, then in a serpentine pattern, before proceeding to the next zone in the same order. It didn't get stuck on the dryer, but it didn't clean around the box separately, even though it has an algorithm for cleaning around the chair legs. It's worth noting that dividing the room into zones creates unnecessary movements, which slightly increases cleaning time.
Let's see how the Gutrend Vision 730 handles cleaning the entire house. A walkthrough was already launched, and the robot saved the map in its memory, dividing the entire area into individual rooms. A similar situation arose here: instead of cleaning the entire room, the robot divided the entire area into suitable zones. As a result, there were many unnecessary movements, and the cleaning speed increased from an average of 25-30 minutes to 37 minutes.
However, there were no uncleared areas left, so the test was generally passed, despite the comments. For many, these may not be critical at all.
Suction power
Now let's test the Gutrend Vision 730's suction power in maximum mode. We'll test this with different brushes and a suction module to see which one delivers the best suction performance.
With the standard bristle-petal brush, it only managed to suck up debris from a 2 mm-deep crevice. The silicone brush produced similar results. With the Gutrend Vision 730's suction module, it was even able to suck up some debris from a 4 mm-deep crevice, due to the lack of a central brush, which slightly blocks suction.
Overall, the Gutrend Vision 730's suction power is slightly above average and is sufficient for automatically keeping your home clean. Let's move on.
Dry cleaning of laminate flooring
Now let's test how well this robot vacuum picks up solid debris from the floor. In our case, the debris included pet hair, ground coffee grounds, as well as cat food and litter.
To begin, the robot was run with the standard brush. The Gutrend Vision 730 was able to pick up all the debris from the floor, leaving only a small amount in the corners, where most round robot vacuums are unable to sweep debris. Hair became tangled in the center brush, which will need to be disassembled for cleaning.
With the silicone brush installed, cleaning performance was the same, but the central brush itself remained clean. Here, the side brushes bore the brunt of the impact, tangling hair around the brushes.
With a suction port, the quality of debris collection is lower, but the brushes don't need to be cleaned. For daily use, this option might be convenient for some.
Cleaning the carpet
Let's test how the Gutrend Vision 730 picks up the same debris from carpet. The results are similar: the robot cleans carpets well with its bristle-petal and silicone brushes, but with its suction port, the results are, to put it mildly, poor. I've said many times before that robots without a central brush are not suitable for cleaning carpets; they are only capable of cleaning hard floors.
Overall, the dry cleaning quality is above average. I pass the test.
Wet cleaning
Now let's see if the Gutrend Vision 730 can handle scrubbing dried-on dirt from laminate floors. The deep cleaning mode was selected for the test. There's one caveat: the robot does a good job of scrubbing dirt off the floor, but the wheel material itself doesn't provide the best traction, causing the robot to slip under these conditions and take longer to clean. However, it didn't clean the floor perfectly, and a few streaks remained.
As for everyday wet cleaning, there are no complaints. At maximum water flow, the robot thoroughly wets the cloth and leaves an even mark on the floor, without streaks or dry spots. Furthermore, the Gutrend Vision 730 can vacuum and mop simultaneously, which is a plus.
Obstacle clearance
The manufacturer claims it can clear obstacles no wider than 15 mm. This is true; the robot can't clear a 20 mm threshold, which is a bit of a shame. However, if you don't have any thresholds in your home, this won't be a big deal.
Driving on dark surfaces
But the black Gutrend Vision 730 mat moves freely without detecting height differences, which is a plus!
Noise level
Finally, we measured the noise level in different modes. At minimum power, the noise level was around 67-69 dB, at medium power it was between 71-74 dB, and at maximum power, the peak was 74.4 dB, although the robot was noticeably louder to the ear. Yes, the Gutrend Vision 730 is loud, and that's worth keeping in mind.
Let's sum it up
Gutrend Vision 730 has been thoroughly reviewed and tested. our evaluation system he managed to gain 77 out of 100 points and enter the top ten tested robot vacuum cleaners we reviewed! Overall ranking of robot vacuum cleaners that passed our test room: https://robovac.washerhouse.com/en/rejtingi/robovac-obshhij-rejting-robotov-pylesosov-robo.html.
What can I say about this robot after getting to know it? I liked the following:
- Good equipment.
- Warranty and service support are included, as the manufacturer is officially represented on the market. It's important to note that the robot comes with an extended warranty: 1 year full warranty + 3 years free service (you'll only need to pay for parts).
- Simultaneous dry and wet cleaning.
- Additional control from the remote control.
- All advanced functionality is in the app, including when working with the map.
- The quality of dry and wet cleaning is above average.
- The robot vacuum cleaner is not afraid of dark floor coverings.
- Replaceable central brushes and a central suction module are provided for different application conditions.
- The highest suction power in the Gutrend robot line.
- Small dimensions and, as a result, a larger area of the cleaned surface.
As for the shortcomings, or rather comments, I would like to highlight:
- The robot vacuum cleaner cannot overcome obstacles higher than 15 mm.
- The movement algorithm requires some modifications to make the robot clean faster.
- Increased noise during operation.
- The price is above average.
For many, these criticisms may seem insignificant. Overall, there are no serious complaints about the robot vacuum, and if you're looking for a device with excellent after-sales service, a good set of accessories, and all the features you need, I see no reason to buy one.
I'd like to end this review on that note. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping, everyone!

Please note the very flimsy plastic pins for the curtains that block dust in both containers. Be extremely careful!
