Liectroux i7 Pro: A Wet Upright Vacuum Cleaner with Roller Drying Function

Hello to all readers of this project! This review will focus on the Liectroux i7 Pro upright vacuum cleaner. Its price range is $170-$240, or $185-$260 at the exchange rate at the time of writing. For this price, the device boasts the same feature set as similar devices. This includes self-cleaning, dry and wet cleaning, multiple operating modes, and a display that displays all the most important information. Below, I'll thoroughly test the Liectroux i7 Pro, highlight its pros and cons, and share my personal opinion. Let's get started!
Equipment
The vacuum cleaner arrived in a branded box like this:
The package includes:
- Charging base.
- Removable handle.
- Power adapter.
- Vacuum cleaner cleaning tool.
- Something like a colander to filter dirty water when draining.
- Spare roller.
- Spare HEPA filter.
- A set of 10 water-soluble tablets. Similar to detergent.
- Operating instructions translated into Russian.
The package is good. It includes all the necessary accessories and consumables. That's a plus!
Appearance
Let's take a look at the Liectroux i7 Pro's design. Let's start with the cleaning module. It's quite standard. The top cover is removable and has holes, presumably for natural ventilation of the roller after self-cleaning. This helps it dry faster, I imagine. I should point out that water doesn't spray through these holes while the vacuum is in use.
The roller is made of soft bristles. It has a squeegee behind it for collecting liquid residue from the floor, as well as a suction port. We can see that the roller isn't positioned toward the edge of the body on one side, so there's an inevitable blind spot along the baseboard and furniture. I'll verify its width in tests.
A larger-capacity dirty water tank is located above the cleaning module. It holds 800 ml. It contains a HEPA filter with a mesh screen and electronic water level sensors. A coarse filter is not included.
On the back side there is a tank for clean water with a capacity of 600 ml.
The Liectroux i7 Pro vacuum cleaner is equipped with a display that shows the battery charge percentage, operating mode and errors.
The device is controlled by buttons on the handle. There are only two: one for power on and off, and one for switching between operating modes. There's a turbo mode, dry cleaning without water, and wet cleaning. There's also an automatic mode, but during use, I didn't notice the Liectroux i7 Pro automatically adjusting suction power or performing any other behavior.
As for the base, at first glance, it appears to be of a simple design and is used only for charging and self-cleaning. However, during use, it was discovered that the platform heats up after self-cleaning. This allows the wet roller to dry after washing the floor.
I tested the drying efficiency and the roller was not completely dry overnight, but it did lose a significant amount of moisture, which is a small but significant advantage of the vacuum cleaner.
Technical specifications
The main characteristics of the Liectroux i7 Pro, as stated by the manufacturer:
- Battery: Li-Ion, 4000 mAh.
- Power consumption: 200 W.
- Suction power: up to 14,000 Pa.
- Working time: up to 35 min.
- Charging time: up to 5.5 hours.
- Clean water tank: 800 ml.
- Dirty water tank: 600 ml.
- Noise level: 72-74 dB.
The vacuum cleaner has a larger battery capacity than similar products, as well as a larger water tank. The noise level was personally tested and found to be between 72-74 dB, which is in line with most similar products.
Testing
And finally, let's move on to the tests. A detailed video review of the Liectroux i7 Pro has already been prepared and published on the channel:
The Liectroux i7 Pro performs well for everyday floor cleaning, both on wood and tile. It's streak-free and, when used correctly, won't damage delicate flooring.
This cordless vacuum cleaner can be used not only for cleaning floors but also for picking up liquids. And, as in my case, it even passed the now-traditional test of picking up a mixture of raw egg and flour.
The Liectroux i7 Pro can also be used to clean slightly dried-on dirt from floors. As you can see, there are no marks or streaks left behind. The floor is perfectly clean.
Since the roller doesn't extend right up to the edge of the housing, a narrow strip approximately 17 mm wide remains. This is important to take into account.
This vacuum cleaner was able to remove even the toughest dried-on coffee and sauce stains. As with similar vacuum cleaners, it took some time to remove the sauce stains. To be precise, it took 10 minutes to remove the stains. The results are standard, as with most similar vacuum cleaners in the budget-to-mid-price segment. However, this test used tablet-based detergent.
Furthermore, this wet/dry vacuum cleaner can also be used for dry cleaning. It easily picks up various types of debris from the floor. However, there's a small blind spot in the corner where the roller can't reach. It's minimal, but it's there.
Considering this is a wet/dry vacuum, it's not practical for cleaning carpets. However, it's still possible in dry mode. The roller structure isn't capable of thoroughly cleaning carpets, and debris can clog the filtration system, which is what happened during testing, as the suction system doesn't work properly without water. Overall, I recommend cleaning carpets with a regular upright vacuum, or entrusting this task to a robotic vacuum cleaner of a suitable design and power.
The final test is to check the self-cleaning performance after all the tests. In this regard, the Liectroux i7 Pro self-cleans on par with most similar devices. It's not perfect, but acceptable. A small amount of dirt remains on the lid itself, the roller is stained with sauce, and there's also visible dirt behind the roller. However, the testing conditions were quite challenging, admittedly.
In a domestic environment, after daily floor washing, self-cleaning does a better job, as the cleaning module is in a less neglected condition.
Personal opinion
The Liectroux i7 Pro upright vacuum cleaner has been thoroughly reviewed and tested. I'll share my thoughts on it.
I liked the following:
- High-quality floor cleaning without streaks.
- Increased battery capacity.
- Capable of removing difficult stains.
- Large capacity water tanks.
- A display that shows all the important information.
- Can also be used for dry cleaning.
- Heated platform on the base, which partially solves the roller drying issue.
- Good equipment.
As for the disadvantages, there are the following comments about the vacuum cleaner:
- Non-removable battery.
- There is no coarse filter in the dirty water tank.
- The roller does not dry completely; after the drying cycle it remains slightly damp.
- There remains a narrow non-washable zone along the baseboard.
- Not suitable for cleaning carpets.
We see that this vacuum cleaner has both pros and cons. Moreover, some of these criticisms are common to most wet/dry vacuum cleaners on the market, especially those in the budget-mid-range segment. Therefore, I would recommend weighing the pros and cons when choosing this wet/dry vacuum cleaner. Overall, it accomplished its primary purpose, and the increased battery capacity and larger dust tanks are appealing.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping. Bye!
