Xiaomi Mijia 1C vs Roborock E4Xiaomi Mijia 1C vs Roborock E4

We welcome all readers of the site. robovac.washerhouse.com! We previously compared popular Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaners, but produced by different manufacturers. This Roborock E4 and Mijia 1CThe Mijia won the comparison, as it offered some advantages at a lower price: a navigation camera and electronic water flow control. In October 2020, the pricing situation changed, and some new facts emerged from my experience that I'd like to share. This information will help you decide which robot vacuum cleaner is better: the Roborock E4 or the Mijia 1C (aka Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop).

So, the first thing that made me question the objectivity of the previous comparison was the price change. While the Roborock E4 previously cost $199, it has now dropped to $159-$169. And in the case of the Mijia 1C, the price has risen from $130-$140 to $150-$180. So, now the prices have leveled out, making it even more difficult to choose, as there's no longer a "better value."

Roborock E4:

The second point we missed in the previous comparison is the interchangeability of consumables. Consumables from all other Roborock family robots, including the popular S5 Max, S6 Pure, and others, are compatible with the Roborock E4. However, Roborock consumables are not compatible with the Mijia 1C, and you may encounter problems purchasing, for example, the central brush. This is confirmed by numerous online reviews. Roborock consumables are readily available in many stores.

And third, no less important, is the quality and reliability of Roborock robot vacuum cleaners, which are significantly higher than those of Mijia. This is why the Mijia 1C initially established itself as the best robot vacuum cleaner for both dry and wet cleaning in the sub-$150 price range. However, the manufacturer couldn't maintain the low price for long, and now its slightly inferior quality compared to Roborock makes the Mijia 1C a less cost-effective option.

Mijia 1C:

These new facts put the Roborock E4 in a more favorable position and make it a more attractive option. However, both robots are still worthy of consideration and are among the best in their price segments compared to other manufacturers.

Which model do you think is more interesting? Below, we've provided our separate video reviews of the Roborock E4 and Mijia 1C for your viewing pleasure. You can order these robots from our partner, Lamobile, which is providing the Xiaomi robots for review.
