Dreame R10 Pro Aqua: Upright Vacuum Cleaner for Wet and Dry Cleaning

Hello everyone who reads our website! Today we're featuring a newcomer to the world of upright vacuum cleaners – the Dreame R10 Pro Aqua. Yes, you heard that right, with the "Aqua" prefix. Apparently, Dreame decided dry cleaning is boring and added a special mopping attachment for wet cleaning. Now you can vacuum and then mop your floors in one fell swoop. And all with one device. Convenient, right? For some buyers, this versatile solution is a real find. After all, as the saying goes, demand creates supply. Next, I'll give you a detailed test drive of the Dreame R10 Pro Aqua, explain how this version differs from the previous one, and demonstrate the new product in tests. At the end of the video, we'll discuss the pros and cons, and I'll give you my honest opinion: is this vacuum worth buying, which at the time of writing costs around $280. So, let's get started!
Equipment
The Dreame R10 Pro Aqua arrived in this branded box:
The package includes:
- Main block.
- Extension tube.
- Nozzle for collecting debris from the floor.
- Polishing attachment.
- Nozzle with turbo brush for cleaning upholstered furniture and mattresses.
- Attachment with sliding bristles.
- Crevice nozzle.
- Charger.
- Wall holder with fasteners.
- Operating instructions.
- Two spare cloths for the polishing attachment.
The kit is decent. It includes all the basic cleaning attachments. It's not extensive, but it's not minimal either.
Appearance
Now let's take a look at the Dreame R10 Pro Aqua's design. Let's start with the main unit. Inside, it houses a 425-watt motor, generating up to 150 Air Watts of suction. Power in an elegant black casing! This beast is turned on and off with the press of a trigger button.
All information is displayed on the display, which, by the way, is the second difference from the previously released Dreame R10 Pro, which had a mechanical mode switch button.
Next to the display is a button for changing operating modes, of which our hero has three: Medium (default), Low, and Turbo. And that's not all! Above, you'll see a button to lock the vacuum cleaner when it's on, so you don't have to hold the trigger with your finger. A real lifesaver for your fingers, I tell you!
There's a charging port on the handle. Unfortunately, the holder doesn't support wireless charging, so you'll have to connect the adapter manually. But don't worry too much, at least the battery is removable.
The dust container is also removable, which is very convenient. Note that the main unit has a HEPA filter installed. The container is emptied by pressing a button on the bottom. Once pressed, the bottom opens, and debris falls out. Here you can see the installed fabric filter, cyclone, and mesh. Overall, this vacuum cleaner has a good filtration system.
Let's move on to an overview of the attachments. First, let's look at the main ones. The floor attachment features a short-bristled roller, which is excellent for cleaning carpets and hard floors. Two LED lights are mounted on the front to illuminate the cleaning area, allowing you to see all the debris, even in dark corners. There's also a mechanical switch that opens and closes the shutter to allow larger debris to pass through. The attachment features a convenient swivel joint. The roller can be easily removed from the side without the need for additional tools. Behind it is a comb for detangling the roller shaft, removing tangled hair and pet hair—a truly useful feature.
I'm already familiar with the polishing attachment. It's equipped with a similar one. Dreame V16s, which is manufactured for the Chinese market. The cleaning module consists of two round rotating pads. A suction hole is located between them, allowing the vacuum cleaner to suck up light debris when wiping the floor. However, the suction power is admittedly minimal and is only suitable for crumbs, hair, and dust. Water is supplied to the pads through special dispensers. The reservoir in the nozzle holds up to 200 ml of water. Two water flow rates are available, allowing you to choose the optimal one for different types of surfaces. Incidentally, the pads rotate at 116 rpm, which should be sufficient for removing stains.
It's worth noting that the polishing attachment replaces the fluffy roller attachment designed for hard floors. This is a logical upgrade – now you get a more versatile cleaning tool that combines both wet and dry cleaning functions.
The additional attachments included are standard. Frankly, I preferred the crevice tool in the first version of the R10 Pro. It had an extended nozzle with a flexible insert, making it easy to reach hard-to-reach places.
So, let's put the Dreame R10 Pro Aqua together and see what it looks like fully assembled:
This is a stylish and modern upright vacuum cleaner. And, by the way, it's quite ergonomic. The fully assembled weight is about 2.8 kg, which I personally verified. It's not too heavy, which definitely makes it more comfortable to use.
Technical specifications
The main characteristics of the Dreame R10 Pro Aqua, as stated by the manufacturer, are displayed on the screen:
- Power consumption 425 W.
- Suction power up to 150 aW.
- Li-Ion battery 2500 mAh.
- Dust collector 600 ml.
- Water tank 200 ml.
- Operating time up to 90 min.
- Noise level 72-76.5 dB.
- Weight when fully assembled: 2.8 kg.
Interestingly, despite the battery capacity being reduced by 500 mAh, the runtime has increased from 65 to 90 minutes. Miracles! We'll test the vacuum's battery life in our tests. The noise level was personally tested and found to be between 72 and 76.5 dB, depending on the selected operating mode.
Testing
A detailed video review of the Dreame R10 Pro Aqua has already been prepared and published on the channel:
Opening hours
And finally, let's move on to the tests. First, let's check the battery life of the Dreame R10 Pro Aqua in Turbo mode with the main attachment attached. It managed to run for 9 minutes and 50 seconds. For comparison, the standard one R10 Pro It showed a runtime of 10 minutes 24 seconds, and this is most likely due to the new model's slightly weaker battery. The display, which consumes some power, could also have played a role. In any case, battery life is on par with most similar devices.
Suction power
In terms of suction power, the Dreame R10 Pro Aqua was able to suck up debris from crevices up to 10 mm deep at its lowest setting. This model offers increased suction power and is more than sufficient for everyday use.
Dry cleaning quality
Now let's test how well the Dreame R10 Pro Aqua picks up floor debris. I scattered various types of debris on the laminate flooring: hair, fur, grains, and other small household debris. This machine did a good job. It's important to note that it doesn't pick up debris along baseboards and in corners on the first pass, but it does a thorough job of picking up everything.
The same debris was scattered on the carpet, and the Dreame R10 Pro Aqua did an equally good job, thoroughly cleaning the low- and medium-pile carpet.
And here's the condition of the attachment after cleaning. The carpet roller is clean, no hair or fur is tangled around it. All debris is collected in the dust bin. That's a plus!
It's also worth noting that the complete kit allows you to clean a sofa, areas beyond the reach of the main nozzle, and even the inside of a car if necessary. In short, this vacuum cleaner is suitable for a variety of applications. It's as versatile as a Swiss Army knife, but for cleaning, not cutting!
Wet cleaning
I also tested the effectiveness of the floor polisher attachment. It even removed stubborn stains like dried-on coffee and sauce stains. It took less than three minutes. By comparison, specialized upright washing vacuum cleaners complete the same task in at least four and a half minutes. However, upright washing vacuums are much more effective in this regard, as they self-clean during use and don't leave streaks. With this floor polisher attachment, the pads become clogged with dirt and rub it across the floor. You'll need to remove them, wash them, and then replace them several times during cleaning.
However, if the floor isn't "neglected," I think that with regular cleaning, washing these wipes a couple of times per cleaning session will be sufficient. As I mentioned at the beginning of the video, for many, this solution is still optimal and convenient compared to using dedicated wet/dry vacuum cleaners.
Cleaning the dust collector
Finally, a few words about cleaning the dust bin. It's quite simple: press a button, and debris falls out through the bottom. However, if hair and fur decide to go on strike and get stuck in the bin, don't worry. The dust bin can be completely removed, the filtration system removed, and debris thoroughly shaken out. It's all done effortlessly and very conveniently.
Personal opinion
The Dreame R10 Pro Aqua upright vacuum cleaner was thoroughly reviewed and tested. Like all Dreame products, it left a largely positive impression. Based on my experience with it and testing it, I can highlight the following pros and cons.
I liked the following:
- High-quality waste collection on any surface.
- Increased suction power.
- The included mopping attachment allows you to vacuum and wet clean with just one vacuum cleaner, even removing tough stains.
- An informative display on the body. No more guesswork! All the information is at your fingertips, so you know exactly what's going on with your vacuum cleaner.
- Illumination of the cleaning area.
- The roller practically does not tangle up wool and hair thanks to its design and special comb.
- Removable battery. If needed, you can purchase an additional one to double the cleaning time.
- Removable dust container. Easy to empty and keep the flask clean.
- Good filtration system.
- Ergonomic design. The vacuum cleaner is convenient to use with one hand.
- High quality assembly.
- Availability of warranty and service.
Speaking about the disadvantages, there are the following comments about the vacuum cleaner:
- The operating time in Turbo mode has been reduced.
- There is no wireless charging on the wall mount.
- There is no vertical parking so that you can park the vacuum cleaner while cleaning and focus on other things.
Ultimately, I can say that the Dreame R10 Pro Aqua is a good option for those looking for a similarly designed upright vacuum for both dry and wet cleaning. Those who understand that the mopping attachment isn't a replacement for a full-fledged wet/dry vacuum, but simply a way to perform gentle wet cleaning. While it's an improvement over the previously released Dreame R10 Pro, its battery life and the design of the crevice tool are still slightly inferior. However, as with all Dreame products, I have no compelling reasons not to recommend this unit. It will definitely find its audience, and it clearly has a place in the company's wide range of cordless vacuum cleaners.
On that note, I'd like to end this review. If you have any questions, please ask them in the comments. Happy shopping. Bye!

Hello. Will the floor polisher attachment fit the previously released Dreame R 10 pro vacuum cleaner? Is the attachment sold separately?
