Comparison of the Miko V10, V11, V12, and V15 upright vacuum cleaners: what are the differences and which one is better?

Comparison of the Miko V10, V11, V12, and V15 upright vacuum cleanersComparison of the Miko V10, V11, V12, and V15 upright vacuum cleaners

In this review, I decided to compare the line of Miko upright vacuum cleaners that I previously reviewed. These models Miko V10, V11, V12 And V15Despite the relatively small price difference and visual similarity, these vacuum cleaners have significant differences in both design and functionality. Therefore, for those choosing the right option from the Miko line, it will be useful to understand the differences between these seemingly similar models. So, let's get started!

Price

First, let's compare the prices of the vacuum cleaners. The most affordable, surprisingly enough, is the Miko V12, priced between $150 and $180. The Miko V10 can be purchased for around $170. The V11 costs between $200 and $210. And the more expensive Miko V15 will set you back $230-$250.

Equipment

Now let's compare the Miko upright vacuum cleaners' accessories. They vary and, for many, will be a significant factor when choosing between several models. I've summarized all the information in a table for easy reference:

Miko V10 Miko V11 Miko V12 Miko V15
Hard Floor Roller + + +
Carpet cleaning roller + + + +
Turbo brush attachment for cleaning upholstered furniture + + + (with UV lamp)
Crevice tool + + + (with backlight) +
Attachment with sliding bristles + + + +
Soft bristle attachment + + +
Flexible extension hose + + +
Bendable adapter + + +
Polishing attachment + (water tank and napkin) + (mop with two rotating discs) + (water tank and napkin)
Wall holder + + + (with nozzle holders) + (with attachment holders and wireless charging terminals)

We see that the Miko V12 has the most limited accessories. The Miko V10 and V15 have virtually identical attachments. The only differences are that the larger model's tick removal attachment is equipped with a UV lamp and has a convenient wall mount for storing attachments and charging the vacuum cleaner.

The Miko V11 stands out from its competitors with its advanced mop attachment, which features round rotating discs and a suction port. It allows you to mop and vacuum simultaneously.

The V10 and V15 also have a wet cleaning attachment, but it is of a simpler design and not as effective.

Design and functions

It's far more important to compare the design and functionality of Miko upright vacuum cleaners. Again, I've compiled all the key parameters into a table for easy reference:

Miko V10 Miko V11 Miko V12 Miko V15
Removable battery + + + +
Removable dust collector + +
Filtration system HEPA filter, cyclone and mesh filter Composite filter, cyclone and mesh filter HEPA filter, cyclone and mesh filter HEPA filter, composite filter, cyclone and mesh filter
Operating modes Minimum, average and maximum Average and maximum Minimum, average and maximum Minimum, average and maximum
Illumination of the cleaning area Eat Eat Eat Eat
Display No Yes, simplified Yes, it is informative and displays the battery charge percentage. Yes, it is informative and displays the battery charge percentage.

It's really cool that all vacuum cleaners have a removable battery and illuminate the cleaning area. The Miko V15 has the most advanced dust container design; it's removable, and the filtration system is easily removed.

The Miko V11 also has a removable dust bin, but the filtration system is removed through the bottom, meaning you'll have to get your hands dirty if pet hair gets stuck in the flask. I'd also like to point out that the higher-end model has a higher-quality filtration system. A major difference between the Miko V12 and Miko V15 and their lesser models is the inclusion of an informative display that displays all the essential information.

Characteristics

It's equally important to compare the specifications of Miko upright vacuum cleaners. Again, all the information is in the table:

Miko V10 Miko V11 Miko V12 Miko V15
Suction power up to 28 kPa up to 24 kPa up to 30 kPa up to 30 kPa
Battery Li-Ion 2200 mAh Li-Ion 2600 mAh Li-Ion 4000 mAh Li-Ion 2500 mAh
Claimed operating time at minimum power up to 50 minutes up to 60 minutes up to 60 minutes up to 60 minutes
Real time of operation at maximum power 11 minutes 17 seconds 17 minutes 30 seconds 10 minutes 04 seconds 10 minutes 55 seconds
Actual noise level 76.5-85.5 dB 74-77 dB 73-87 dB 76.6-85 dB
Dust collector capacity 510 ml 500 ml 400 ml 680 ml
Actual weight when fully assembled 2275 grams 2322 grams 2699 grams 2539 grams

Here I can point out that the older Miko V12 and V15 models are actually slightly more powerful, which is reflected not only in the numbers but also in tests. The V15 has the largest dust bin, while the V12 has the longest-lasting battery. Surprisingly, the Miko V11 lasted the longest at maximum power. Incidentally, it's also the quietest of the vacuums compared. The Miko V10, however, stands out from its competitors due to its light weight. Overall, each model has its strengths and weaknesses.

Test results

Now, let me briefly review the test results of the compared upright vacuum cleaners. The comparison video demonstrates all the tests clearly:

All four models perform excellently on hard floors, leaving no blind spots along baseboards or in corners. The V10, V12, and V15 models are designed to minimize the accumulation of hair and pet hair on the rollers, thanks to their special design. Pet hair and pet hair are quickly sucked into the suction channel. The V11 doesn't come with a replaceable fluff roller, but it does include a comb behind the roller that removes trapped hair.

On carpets, all the compared vacuum cleaners showed good results, thanks to a special roller with short bristles.

As for wet cleaning, the Miko V12 isn't suitable for that purpose. The V10 and V15 models have a simplified nozzle. Water is simply gravity-fed onto the cloth, which is sufficient for gentle wet cleaning and the collection of fine dust that the roller of the main nozzle can't capture. The Miko V11's nozzle, however, is truly effective and capable of not only wiping the floor while simultaneously sucking up debris, but also scrubbing away stubborn dried-in stains. Overall, the Miko V11 outperforms its higher-end models in this regard.

Personal opinion

After comparing all the key parameters and test results, I can say that, for me personally, the best Miko upright vacuum cleaner of 2024 is the top-of-the-line Miko V15. It has the highest-quality filtration system, which is very important in a vacuum cleaner. It's powerful, convenient, and well-equipped. However, it's also actually more expensive than the other three. Comparing the Miko V10, V11, and V12, I can say that you should base your choice on what's most important to you when choosing an upright vacuum: power, runtime, filtration system, accessories, or the presence of a wet cleaning function. I hope the tables and information provided will help you choose the most suitable option for your needs.

Thank you for your attention. Happy shopping everyone. Bye!
