We welcome all readers of the site. robovac.washerhouse.comWe've reviewed the Eufy RoboVac G10 Hybrid robot vacuum. The model retails for $200 on the manufacturer's website, but can be purchased for as little as $140 in other stores. Regardless, the robot falls into the mid-price range. Below, we'll explore the RoboVac G10 Hybrid's design, its features, test it in various conditions, and conclude with a summary of whether it's worth the money. Let's get started!

Equipment

The robot vacuum cleaner is packed in a branded cardboard box.

Among the components I would like to highlight:

  1. Charging base with compartment for storing excess cord.
  2. A plastic pad for the robot to prevent it from soaking the floor with water after it has completed wet cleaning and returned to the base.
  3. Power adapter.
  4. Manufacturer's documentation. Russian translation not provided.
  5. Wet cleaning nozzle with a microfiber cloth installed.
  6. Spare napkin.
  7. Spare metering valves.
  8. Cable ties.
  9. Spare HEPA filter.
  10. Spare side brushes (2 pcs.).
  11. Tool for cleaning the dust collector and central brush.

The kit does not include a motion limiter or remote control, which is a minus.

Appearance

Let's take a closer look at the robot vacuum cleaner itself. It looks stylish, but the glossy body isn't very practical. The body is 73 mm high, so the robot can fit under certain furniture.

HeightHeight

The company logo is located in the center. Closer to the soft-touch bumper, you'll see a Wi-Fi connection indicator and a single Start/Pause button. There's no forced-return button to charge the robot vacuum if you don't have your smartphone nearby. I find this inconvenient, but not critical. The front features a soft-touch mechanical bumper.

A wet cleaning attachment can be installed on the bottom; it holds up to 130 ml of water.

Water flows onto the cloth by gravity through two valves and is poured through a neck with a sealed opening at the top. The cloth is attached to the nozzle using a groove and Velcro, as is done on Xiaomi robotsThe cloth itself is similar in structure, but in my opinion, it has a certain drawback. The microfiber lint is only in the center, while the sides are lint-free. Because of this, it's not very effective at removing stains along walls. We'll test this later.

The robot is equipped with two side brushes. They are three-pronged, bristle-filled, and quick-release. Small brushes on the side prevent hair from getting tangled.

Functional capabilities

It's much more interesting to see what the Eufy RoboVac G10 Hybrid can do. All the functionality is available in the proprietary mobile app, which you need to download and install on your smartphone. The interface is in Russian, and everything is intuitive and user-friendly.

The settings include features such as granting control access to other family members, recommendations for using the wet cleaning mode, and adjusting the volume and language of voice notifications. Incidentally, it's important to note that the robot speaks Russian.

SettingsSettings

Settings

You can also play a melody on the robot to help you locate it if it gets stuck under furniture. There's also manual control and, quite unusual for robot vacuums with a gyroscope, a feature that resumes cleaning from where it left off after recharging at the base. This is already a common feature for robots with precise navigation at the base. lidar or camera, but I haven't seen this feature before in models with a gyroscope. You can also check the status of consumables, update the app version, and consult the manufacturer's recommendations. However, for some reason, these, like the paper documentation, are in English, which can be challenging.

FunctionsFunctions

Functions

On the main control panel, you can adjust the suction power by selecting one of two modes, start the automatic cleaning process, force the robot to return to the charging base, enable the spot mode, set up a cleaning schedule for a specific time and day of the week, and activate the robot search mode by sound.

Working panelWorking panel

Working panel

It's worth noting that the Eufy RoboVac G10 Hybrid doesn't create a room map, so it doesn't display it in real time on your smartphone, and it certainly doesn't save the map to its memory. This isn't ideal.

Overall, the functionality is standard, with all the basic features expected of a robot with a gyroscope. Additionally, control via Yandex.Alice is also available.

Testing

A visual video version of all tests and reviews:

Navigation

Let's move on to the tests. First, we'll test the Eufy RoboVac G10 Hybrid's navigation within a single room with various obstacles. These include the feet of a clothes dryer, which robots often get stuck on, a box, and a chair. We'll see if the robot can clean the entire accessible area.

NavigationNavigation

Navigation

Ultimately, the robot first completed a zigzag sweep. Then it moved around the perimeter, then began a second zigzag sweep in a perpendicular direction, after which it was supposed to complete another sweep around the perimeter and return to the base. However, during the cleaning process, the battery died, and the robot went back to charge. As for the navigation itself, it didn't clean around the chair legs, but simply moved under the chair. It didn't clean around the box specifically, but at least it didn't get stuck on the dryer legs. Overall, the navigation is average. What I liked, however, is that the robot gently touches objects and furniture. It doesn't hit its bumper too much, which is a plus. Cleaning time for about 10 square meters was 27 minutes, which is quite long, but it's important to remember that the robot performs two sweeps of the available area. Accordingly, the slow cleaning speed is justified by the increased cleaning quality achieved with two sweeps.

Within the entire house, since the map isn't created in real time, tracking its movements and visualizing them is problematic. The robot cleaned five rooms, but took over an hour to complete. Ideally, it should be run when no one is home.

Suction power

Now let's see how deep the Eufy RoboVac G10 Hybrid can vacuum up. And here's where it really surprised me. It can vacuum up to 6 mm of cracks, which is about the same as a fairly powerful vacuum. iCLEBO O5 Wi-FiMost other robots can only handle 2mm gaps, so the RoboVac G10 Hybrid is certainly a powerful robot vacuum cleaner.

Suction powerSuction power

Suction power

Of course, this result is due to the lack of a turbo brush, which blocks direct suction, but nonetheless, this result was not achieved by other robot vacuum cleaners without a turbo brush that we tested. So, this test was definitely passed.

Dry cleaning of laminate flooring

Now let's see how the Eufy RoboVac G10 Hybrid handles various floor debris. In our case, this included fur, hair, grains, and ground coffee grounds as imitation dust.

Dry cleaning of laminate flooringDry cleaning of laminate flooring

Dry cleaning of laminate flooring

As you can see, the robot performed well, with only a small amount of debris remaining in the corners due to its body shape. However, even in the corners, it swept well compared to many competitors. Some hair got caught in the side brushes, but they were easy to clean. Most of the debris ended up in the dust bin. This test was also passed successfully.

Cleaning the carpet

Now let's scatter the same debris on the carpet and see if the robot can clean the carpet.

Cleaning the carpetCleaning the carpet

Cleaning the carpet

Even without a turbo brush, the robot did a good job of picking up debris on the carpet. A few hairs remained, but that's not a big deal.

Wet cleaning

Now let's see if the Eufy RoboVac G10 Hybrid can remove dried-on dirt from laminate flooring.

Wet cleaningWet cleaning

Wet cleaning

And that's what I was talking about—a small area along the baseboard remained dirty due to the structure of the cloth. But the robot cleaned the rest of the area well.

The robot vacuum cleaner does a good job of routinely wiping floors of dust and light dirt. The water flow to the cloth is not too large, so it won't damage wooden floors. The 130 ml water tank is enough for 30-40 square meters of wet cleaning.

Obstacle clearance

Let's test the RoboVac G10's cross-country ability. It can easily navigate 10mm and 15mm thresholds, but it can't get past a 20mm threshold.

Obstacle clearanceObstacle clearance

Obstacle clearance

The maneuverability is average, so if you have fluffy carpets at home, this robot will have a hard time getting onto them.

Dark spots

Dark surfaces, however, are no problem for it. It drove onto the black carpet in our test without recognizing it as a height difference.

Noise level

Finally, we measured the noise level in different modes. In standard mode, the noise level reaches 62 dB, and in maximum mode, it reaches 65 dB. Overall, this is not a particularly loud noise level for a robot vacuum cleaner with high suction power.

Measuring noise levels

Let's sum it up

Finally, let's evaluate the Eufy RoboVac G10 Hybrid based on various criteria, taking into account the price segment up to $200 and test results.

Navigation 7 out of 10. Even if you ignore the fact that a $200 robot has a gyroscope, it doesn't build a room map or store it in its memory, so it's impossible to give this device a high rating for navigation. Nevertheless, the robot doesn't miss any uncleaned areas, cleans in two passes, and can even continue cleaning after recharging at the base. Furthermore, it handles furniture and other objects very gently. These are obvious advantages.

Versatility 7 out of 10. There's no remote control included, and the body has only one control button. Furthermore, it lacks a central brush, making this model more suitable for cleaning hard floors than carpets. This is confirmed by its ability to clear obstacles up to 15 mm. However, at least there's a wet cleaning function, and the robot can vacuum and mop simultaneously. So, in certain situations, these concerns can be ignored.

Design and execution 9 out of 10. The low profile, good build quality, and stylish design are clearly appealing. The robot looks presentable, and the suction nozzle and side brushes are well-designed, allowing the Eufy RoboVac G10 Hybrid to effectively pick up debris from the floor. However, the lack of a turbo brush is the reason it can't receive a perfect score.

Cleaning quality 9 out of 10. Dry cleaning on hard floors is no problem; the robot passed the test with flying colors. The high suction power was truly impressive. However, wet cleaning and carpet cleaning weren't ideal, so we're deducting a point for that.

Functionality 8 out of 10. Even without some of the advanced features found in robots priced under $200, I didn't like the lack of a virtual wall feature, room mapping, automatic power boost on carpets, or a remote control. Otherwise, it has all the basic features for automatically maintaining a clean home. These include multiple operating modes, a feature that's unusual for such robots, such as continued cleaning after recharging, and scheduled cleaning.

Manufacturer support 9 out of 10. Anker's Eufy has been producing robot vacuum cleaners since around 2017, making it a relatively new company. Its robot vacuums have already gained popularity abroad. Their robots have only recently appeared in the CIS market, so there are few reviews yet. I liked that the robots don't have a generic look, unlike many other Chinese models with different brand labels. They have their own app, translated into Russian. Accessories and consumables can be ordered both from the manufacturer's official website and on AliExpress. A warranty and customer support are also provided. So, although the brand is young, it is steadily growing and promises to be a significant competitor in the robot vacuum cleaner market in the near future.

Total 49 out of 60 points

Overall, if you're looking at a robot vacuum cleaner for around $150, it's definitely a pretty good option. At $200, there are a few issues that factor into the overall rating, but most of them aren't critical. In any case, I recommend considering the Eufy RoboVac G10 Hybrid if you don't have carpets or low-pile carpets in your home, and you're cleaning an area of up to 60 square meters (650 sq. ft.), and good build quality is important to you. I was particularly impressed with this robot, especially its power, so after a thorough review and testing, I have no significant complaints.

That's all from me. Happy shopping, everyone!
